The pizza tastes good. Staff is friendly and the food doesn't take too long. The atmosphere of the restaurant is clean, not much trash like I've seen at it her restaurants in the area

Lots of confusion at this place. Pizza is the same as any Grottos but the help is a little disorganized and got one of our pizza orders wrong. Won't let it stop me from coming back, maybe just not this location.

Grottos always hits the spot after the bars or really anytime you’re in the area.

Pizza was ok. Did take out. Orange crushes were weak.

Granted it was delivery to Dewey from Rehoboth, but the pizza was bland and soggy. I think they're supposed to have a good reputation but this pizza was really disappointing.

I don’t think anyone in this state has ever had a margarita slice. Better than 1 star is about the peak for this place.

We loved the pizza, great flavor, excellent crust. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant.

Ordered a slice cheese with onion. Slice came with a pile of uncooked chunks of onion. Sent it back and it came back to me with a pile of melted cheese over the pile of onions. I paid for my wine (which tasted watered down) and left.

Friends and I went there around 2 pm on a weekday, so not peak hours but when we got there the place was basically deserted and it had a dingy and weird vibe. We were seated next a big loud industrial fan by a guy who seemed to not care at all about anything who then ignored us for a while despite basically no one else being in the restaurant. Things felt dirty and gross and we just decided to leave after not being attended to despite the host walking by us many times. Grotto? I'd rather not-o.

We enjoyed the food and our server was fantastic. However, the hostess was incredibly rude and actually rolled her eyes when we asked to sit at a regular table so my disabled mother didn't have to climb up a high top bar stool! There were only 3 other tables with customers so it wasn't packed. It was also unbearably hot inside and we could barely eat or hear with the large industrial sized fans blowing. I had to take my mother and autistic son back to the condo and get them take out as they couldn't handle it. We were here four years ago during vacation and loved it. Hoping it was just a fluke this time!

Wife and I got into town last Tuesday and, after having a heavy lunch, decided to grab a few slices for a late snack after she took pics of the sunset on the bayside. I lived on the Shore years ago, have heard of Grotto Pizza and what a disappointment! Cold, small slices and was astonished she paid $4.25 for each slice. Could have had a new customer for life. Will gladly spend my tourist dollars elsewhere.

Grotto's Pizza at Dewey Beach needs to get its act together. The food was fine, but the service was non-existent. I have a significant hearing loss and we were seated next to a giant four-foot fan which made discussions impossible. The noise was so loud that it did not matter where we were seated in the restaurant. We should have turned tail and left, but we decided to give the place a chance. The "neanderthal" waiter who waited on us was obviously not happy to be working or possessed no personality, we're not sure which assumption was correct. He was sullen, monotone, and miserable. Not the best strategy when you are working for tips. We acknowledge that it's difficult to hire great employees at present, but the company needs to increase its hiring incentives and training programs to get decent wait staff. I felt sorry for the waiter and gave him a standard tip. Having waited tables when I was a senior in college, I relented and didn't stiff him. I probably should have. Grotto! Get your act together!

We were seated right away, but the wait staff never came. I finally asked the hostess who went to get our surly waiter. We were immediately grossed out when we saw him sneeze then not wash his hands. We should have left then. We didn't. The food wasn't bad, but thinking of the waiter's actions made it unpalatable. The bathroom was incredibly filthy with cobwebs on the wall and dirt everywhere on the floor. I would hate to see the kitchen.
