My family came here one night for ice cream. The shop is clean and there are many flavours available for ice cream and milkshakes. I got the black raspberry and enjoyed it a lot. I got a single scoop but received roughly double that so it was a good value. The staff were nice and I enjoyed my visit to Vanderwendes. I would return next time I’m in Dewey.

I loved the cherry ice cream here. Very nice portions for what is being paid. They have a good amount of flavors available and many of them sounded great! My boyfriend got black raspberry and he enjoyed it. Sometimes there is a line that can be seen from driving by, but we got lucky and did not have to wait long.

Went to Dewey Beach for our annual 4th of July getaway and Vanderwendes didn't disappoint. I love their ice cream. The strawberry and cherry were amazing. My husband loves the Maple Walnut and Butter Pecan. If I could fault anything it would be running out of cookie dough two nights in a row...but, in fairness it was after 9pm. GREAT place and GREAT employees.

First time into this spot. I got the apple pie ice cream… it was delightful and soooo much flavor. At the time of arrival the line was decently long, but yet super quick. The gentleman who waited on us was super patient and very friendly. My child was having a really rough day and the young guy took the extra minute to converse with him even sharing a fist bump. 5/5 because we all left smiling and the ice cream was top notch ?

Disappointed in this place. First nothing came up in Rehoboth Beach before arriving. Then we found this place and were excited, especially with the long line outside we had high hopes. Nothing tasted great, it was severely overpriced ($5 for a half a scoop for kids). It was to the point where I couldn't distinguish between my flavors, one being peanut butter crunch (no crunch to be seen) and one being salty caramel (no salt or caramel noted). To top it off, the gentleman serving was strange to the point of being uncomfortable and used the F word in front of children. Not into it. Done. Spoons 4/5.
