Dover has upscale dining?? Yes, Dover has upscale dining for a fraction of what you would spend in a major city AND no sacrifice to quality. The dishes are an experience from every aspect. The playing is superb, chef menu is constantly changing and you won't believe the flavor profiles they use.Make a reservation today!!

Best place to go to in downtown Dover. Perfect for a Date or even a get-together with friends. Chef prepare daily features. The food was perfect. My favorite was a Chili and Lime smoked wings. Drinks were the best drinks I had in a while in Dover. Try an Old Fashion with Angel's Envy Bourbon... you would not be disappointed.Parking: After 5 p.m., guests can park at Old City of Dover Electric Department, located a block away

This was a great experience. The waitress was very nice and the food was spectacular! I’m visiting my boyfriend and he suggested this place. We will be back every time I visit. The atmosphere was beautiful as well. 10/10

A bit expensive if you just look at the prices, but for the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff, it's spot on.

Every time i have gone to this restaurant it has been a wonderful experience. Such a relaxing atmosphere, the servers are all very knowledgeable and kind. The food is excellent. You can tell the meals are specially curated and have been made with lots of thought and love. I had a mocktail and it was delicious, i love the abundance of mocktail options. I will be coming back for brunch.

Tonight was my second visit . First was for brunch. Tonight I had mushroom soup, duck fat fries, half rack of lamb and husband had southwest salad with chicken and shrimp.I’m excited for Dover to have a nice ish restaurant. The food is on a Fabulous scale in the middleI give it a good with hopes of a fabulous .Service , although our server was sweet,Needs more training. Also all the staff is very very concerned about closing time .Both of my visits I was given several alerts on time. From we need to seat you now , to we need you to order / to last call from the kitchen even though we were eating our dinner and it was still 37 minute til closing time .Back to the service it just needs to be brought up to a bit higher quality. For me just ok service is a reason to second guess coming back. Here’s why.I love the space and if the food looks good but is just ok. I don’t mind spending if I know the service will be great because that’s what makes it special. So far the only thing making 1875 feel special is the location. And by that I mean that beautiful porch! Super excited for an outside summer evening dinner!Until then simplify the menu and up the server / staff training.I like feeling like I could bring my friends from out of town to Dover for a nice dinner.

My experience at the Jackson House was above and beyond my expectations. It's a five star restaurant in my opinion. The atmosphere, food and service were outstanding. I will definitely be dining there again.

Lovely place. Large selection of food choices but very overpriced for the quality.

They did not offer crown royal or Jack Daniel's. First time I have been to a restauranth/bar and normal liquors were not stocked. Evan Williams, really????

It was our first time dining here and we loved the experience. This place fills the niche here in Dover for elevated (but not pretentious) dining. The ambience is elegant and welcoming, the staff friendly, the drinks and food are exceptional. I can’t wait to try out the Sunday brunch.

This was my first visit since it reopened as Jackson House and I will visit again. I had brunch on a Saturday , scrambled eggs, avocado on toast and hash browns, which was very good. The only thing , but really a non issue , was that I looked at their menu on Facebook and the item I wanted to order wasn't available. I wanted the egg and American cheese on a croissant. So , I am wondering if the menu fluctuates daily .

we arrived at the Jackson house at our reservation time of 9pm only to find out that they have already began the cleaning process of the dining room. all the chairs were off of the floor and on the tables. Waitress with a mop staring us up and down. We felt very awkward and out of place. We were told we had to eat at the bar. While this is not at all what we had in mind we ended up walking out. Why offer a reservation for 9pm if you can not provide the meal in the dining room. If I wanted to eat at a bar I would have gone to a bar. Very very disappointing as we drove over 2 1/2 hours to eat at this establishment as we had business in Dover for the weekend.
