Undeniably worthy of the 3star rating they have. I’m sorry to say this place makes it hard for you to support black business. Unprofessional at its finest, that’s first and foremost. It seems no one working here is happy, extremely rude & you will see for your self. With the exception of one younger front counter girl who is extremely sweet.
The Food*
Over priced for the quality. The Mac N cheese is something everyone looks forward to when out to eat, Aunt Mary’s is more heavily seasoned noodles. It even has a brown color.. cheese is yellow. There is no cheese an wht is there has no taste. You will see. The beans an beef are practically beans alone. This is baked beans. The “seafood salad” wow, its literally noodles and tuna fish i couldn’t believe it. And they upcharge extra for it from all the other sides, again you will see. The manager is some young chic, very easily over stimulated. It doesnt give “manager”, she’s very unequipped for the position. If you have to experience her .. you will see. This is all coming from people who have given them more then one, two, three chances.
I hate to say but dnt spend your money here there are two other spots in Dover, Soulfully Delicious & Tomeka’s i give 5 star to both. You won’t be disappointed or disrespected!

Okay so I don’t even know where to begin. Lord Jesus. First of all the girl at the front with the little pieces of clothes on. Ridiculous. And then she was on the phone with her man talking about she miss him & all that & he clearly sounded like he wasn’t interested. & then it took like almost a whole hour for me to get my food AFTER I got the ready text. The sauces don’t go with the food. The Rasta pasta had NO SAUCE. NONE. ZERO. it was just pepper noodles. I know they ain’t Jamaican AT ALL. Ain’t nobody in that place qualified to make anything with the name “ Rasta “ in it. They shouldn’t even make PASTA At all. The fried shrimp was okay. The crab fries was SOGGY and nasty & the green beans was CANNED. they tasted NASTY. they came straight out of a can & they didn’t taste like the name brand ones. Them was some FOOD LION brand canned green beans. And then they give you these extremely small dry corn muffins. Terrible. I didn’t even take it out of the bag. Not to mention everything else on the menu being extremely overpriced. They make enough money to give people actual COOKED unprocessed food. The only reason they have 3 stars to begin with is because 1 they’re in Delaware. Don’t nobody here know what good food actually is. 2. They’re a little further south into Dover where the population is mostly people that don’t get invited to “ the cook out “ unless deemed fit, if you know what I mean. THEY don’t know what good food is. They just know it tastes like something other than salt and pepper.

Part of my order was missing also they didn’t have banana pudding at all. I called & spoke to Jermain & he said something about a coupon I didn’t want a coupon I wanted what I paid for so epic fail the rest of the food was ok the shrimp was really good & greens & rice, turkey wing was tough in some spots the macaroni was a little dry but wasn’t worth the headache. Poor response for customer service also.

Ordered the Rasta pasta with salmon and was told the salmon was grilled, but received fried Salmon. On top of that the Rasta pasta was disgusting! Everything had one taste and was too spicy. There was nothing special about it at all. The lady behind the counter was also rude so the service along with the food I received was Horrible!

This is a to-go order spot, so the date night will be at home. A delicious change for my experiences of soul food in this area. The only questionable item was the green beans as it was very basic out of a can. We ordered $100 worth of food to see what we may like best. A bummer that my side of seafood salad, was missed. However, the stuffed salmon and oxtails were so good, it made me get over not receiving the seafood salad.

I definitely will be going back!

Their food is not good. The portions are small and the price is to high. The turkey wings were spoiled.

Delicious! Crispy shrimp with the sweet and hot sauce. Can’t go wrong!

The fried whiting was lightly breaded and crispy. Generous portion too. Collard greens were great, not fatty nor salty. Candied yams were amazing without being overly sweet!

Food looks pretty but it’s actually not very good. This is my second and last time trying from this place. Ease up on the salts and utilize more fresh spices. So sorry.

Been following this place for a while , they have a food truck near my house , I have now been here twice , I'm a fan of the shrimp and fries ! The eggroll with the crabcake stuffing is good as well , personally I'm not a fan of the garlic butter , but it's on the side it's just not my thing . I have had the fried swai as well ,something about the texture of it I didn't like , I prefer more meaty type Fish, something about this was just off quality wise I just couldn't eat it . Overall this is a cool food truck in new castle, if I'm in dover I'd like to try the brick and mortar location.
