** UPDATE**
At the end of my review you see a comment from the “owner” encouraging me to fill out a form so that I could be contacted directly in reference to this issue. It’s been 3 days and still no response back from them either. Additionally, I just contacted my credit card company again (as of 1/21) and they are CONFIRMING (which I already knew) that Capriottis has never attempted to refund my card any amount. It has now been 11 days since they claimed they put it through. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE LEAVING!!! DID NOT RECEIVE COMPLETE ORDER AND CHARGED ME FOR IT. On Sat Jan 10, I placed an order for a catering sampler box and a large meatball sub for a small group. Sent a friend to pick up the order, they returned with the catering box but no meatball sub and was also missing catering side items that I specifically told them I wanted. I immediately called them to tell them and I spoke with the lady who took my order (Stephanie). She was nice at the time and apologized. Unfortunately, we were in the process of moving from one house to another (hence the lunch order) and we didn’t have time to drive back to the store but she did advise that she would refund me for the meatball sub (as I would expect). Days are passing and I am still not seeing the refund on my credit card so on Thursday Jan 15, I called the store and spoke to a lady named Barbara. I explained my situation to her and she took my name and number for someone to contact me. On Friday Jan 16th, (appr 24 hours later and still no returned call, I called again. I asked the person who answered to speak with a manager and he advised me he was the shift leader (Adam) and asked me what I needed. Again, I explained to him the situation. He advised me that they were busy (oh, excuse me that you’re busy, I’ve only been waiting almost a full week for a refund on something that I paid for and NEVER RECEIVED). He took my name & number. A short time later, Stephanie (the person that took my order that original Sat) called me and said that they refunded me the previous Sat. She said that she would email me the refund slip. Lol, she emailed me a slip that just said overpayment and it had hand written that it was refunded. Lol, that’s hilarious. I responded and asked for a transaction ID so that I can contact my credit card company but of course, she did not respond. Today is Sat Jan 17th and still no refund. I contacted my credit card company today and they confirmed there is no pending refund. Not only have they gave me the run around, charged me $22 for something that I never received, provided poor customer service, lied to me, but they also didn’t do the right thing. Honestly, they should’ve done the right thing and refunded me the entire order for the inconvenience and headache this has caused but I just want my darn $22.00.

I have always love Capriotti's. I moved out of state and came back in for New Years. Figured we'd get some good subs to ring in the New Year...except they were out of rolls...a sub shop out of rolls. Sucks for us. Btw, this was 5:45pm.

Maybe next time, but Glasgow Deli is prepared.

Asked for mushrooms got all the way home and there was fried onions, heart burn for hubby, and where's the meat?? 21.99 for a roll, paper, onions and the bag😞

This is the worse Capriottis I have ever experienced. Rude management that just likes to argue and not make things right. I feel bad for those who work there. I recommend everyone avoid this location-just this one.

The food at Capriotti’s in Dover was genuinely amazing, which is why the rest of the experience was such a letdown. I placed an $80 order for pickup for an office lunch, drove over, and only realized once I was ten minutes back to work that two items were missing. I called, they confirmed the items were still there, so I turned around and drove back. When I arrived, they handed me the bag with no apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake, nothing.

To make it more frustrating, I stood there watching three employees double- and triple-checking a $200 catering order for another customer, ensuring every last detail was perfect. Meanwhile, my order required a second trip just to get it right.

On top of that, the dining room is closed and the shop itself could really use a deep clean. It’s starting to look noticeably dirty, which doesn’t pair well with an already shaky service experience.

The food truly is great, but the service and cleanliness need attention.

I visited this location on Friday, November 7 one hour before closing, but unfortunately, I was told by a young lady they were out of almost everything on the menu. I understand it's the end of the day, but to be out of everything is ridiculous! Very disappointing! The two people working lack customer service skills. They didn't apologize for being out of everything. They both seemed unconcerned. Hopefully management can improve their inventory and train their employees to be respectful and courteous toward customers.However, I was able to receive service at the Smyrna's location. The four young men working there were very respectful and courteous! The Italian Sub was so delicious, that my husband and I went back again Saturday night.

I was here today and had a disappointing experience with a young man named Christian. He came across as irritated and unhelpful when I asked a question, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable for me as a customer. I hope management addresses this issue, because that’s not the experience people expect here. I usually come to this location and the staff and food are great so I was very taken aback.

My husband went in to get my order so I didn't see the inside. I got a club sub w/o the bacon. It was a sub but I couldn't taste any of the dressings I asked for like mayo, lettuce, cheese, oil n vinegar, or oregano.

Ordered mini Italian, one slice peppered ham , one slice of salami and a slice of cheese. Lots of lettuce and tasteless tomatoes. One plus rolls were fresh. Chips came with combo but Only had salt and vinegar, sour cream and jalapeño chips! Staff member was friendly. Floor was dirty and sitting area dark!
