El Nopal Mexican Restaurant

Poor service, lady held door for me and my pregnant wife. Was in line ordering food, the lady that was taking our ordered stopped us in the middle of ordering to help the lady behind us that held the door for us. Food is really good but showed me she didn’t respect my dollar. So we left, Highly disappointed and will not be spending no more of my money here!

Walked in, got seated to then be forgotten. The waiter did not come back to check on us until after 20 min. Mind you there was one family that was already eating and no one else was in the restaurant. So I don’t understand why the waiter didn’t come back to get our order. The food is not what it used to be and neither is the customer service. Never going back again.

Last evening, I ordered 3 meals for delivery thru DoorDash. The DoorDash delivery was excellent, but the food for El Nopal was horrible! All 3 dishes had chicken in it and the chicken in all 3 dishes was the worst I have ever had at any time from any restaurant! All 3 of us had the same complaint; chicken was EXTREMELY dry and tough. It was obvious that it had been prepared much earlier in the day and reheated multiple times. Never again!

Cold cheese with hot steak burrito and cold tortilla-- just felt like it was thrown together last second. Also got extra meat but at best it was hand size.

I was in the mood for something different ,so I said, Mexican Food sounds incredible right now! I ordered 3 Hard Tacos with all the fixings...the tacos were $3 each and consisted of 2 tablespoons of meat, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and shredded cheese. The taco shells were thick and extremely hard. The meat looked to be of decent quality but I could not detect the slightest of seasoning. Overall, I was not impressed, save for the 2 small cups of hot sauce, the meal was extremely bland and frankly, difficult to eat.

We had a great experience at El Nopal in Dover! The service was excellent—Genesis was absolutely amazing. She made incredible margaritas and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. The food was solid overall, and the street tacos were especially perfect. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Honestly worst attend! I didn’t know they closed a 8pm. I’ve arrived at 7:45pm. Walked in and said we going to eat in and the worker gave me the menu from the front counter. i didn’t think nothing of it. I honestly didn’t know what to do? Was I supposed to seat down or order there at front counter?!. Didn’t said anything after I got the menu. No communication at all! Now I decided to seat down and then the worker come with chips and dip and decided to come to me and let me know they close at 8pm. Really!? Why waste my time and could have gone somewhere else. Im not going to walk away since i already ate some chips and dip I order something. TO GO!
Their server or host or the worker lady should be more communicative with their customers. Again what a waste of time and night!

Everyone was friendly and the restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance. However, the tacos were not very good. I also ordered a $9 house margarita and it had mostly ice. I don’t think I will be back.
