The restaurant is beautiful inside and its a great atmosphere. Music is a little too loud. The food didn't have much, if any flavor and the rice and beans were luke warm at best.

This was our first time at El Nopal. The place was very clean, it just opened recently. The music was a bit loud (our opinion). They didn’t have liquor yet so no margaritas ?. The food was pretty decent, though the fajitas didn’t seem to be much of a value. Our server was okay as well. All in all, it was okay. Sorry to say that, though we will probably stop by again, it wouldn’t be our first choice for Mexican food.

My daughter and grandson wanted to try this place out and decided to come. My daughter was on FaceTime with me when she pulled up at this location. I heard the Host when she walked in to be seated. My daughter sat there about 10 minutes and no one came to the table to even acknowledge that she and my grandson were there. I asked my daughter it must be busy. She said No, it wasn’t busy. My daughter left and I called and the lady said it must have been a miscommunication between the host and the waitress. That is bad customer service!!!! Please do better if you want your business to strive.

Gave this place a try today. They brought out chips and 3 salsas, mild, medium, and hot. The mild was a green tart odd tasting salsa. The medium was your typical salsa, however very sweet. Like they added a bunch of sugar, the spicy one was more like a hot sauce. For our mains, we ordered the Asada dish and beef tacos. They brought the food out extremely quickly, and unfortunately, the meat & beans were luke warm. I believe everything is pre-cooked, kept in a steam table, and just slapped together fast. The two steak pieces were thin chewy & warm at best, very bland, not much flavor. The beans wer soup like. The tacos are very basic nothing special honestly reminded me of taco bell. The service was good, she took our orders and brought out drinks and food fast. They also had a guy playing live music, which is always nice to see. Overall I wasn't impressed, especially with all the other competition around. I might eventually give them another try, but this time just wasnt it.

First time visit, and we will be back! My family took my mom out for her 67th birthday. We were taken care of from the moment we entered until we left. I know we had a lot of requests...like my mom's hearing is pretty bad, so we had to ask to turn the music down, which they did immediately. I felt bad even asking at all, but she really struggles hearing. The server was named Valeria I believe. She was immaculate. I never once felt like we were asking too much of her, even though we had many requests. She is a gem!! The salsa they serve with their chips is the best I've ever had.The meals, hearty and delicious. Thank you, El Nopal, for making our family and moms birthday so special.Thank you so much!Jackie and famWheelchair accessibility: My dad is wheelchair bound and it was a tight fit but they made it work!!

Being from Texas my wife and I have been scouring for good Mexican food and we believe we've found it at El Nopal 617 E Lockerman St Dover. We were greeted and seated right away and within 5 minutes we had our drinks; Our waitress was super polite the whole time and was very accommodating. Within 8 minutes we had the freshest salsa (not spicy) and nice, crispy, fresh chips; I will add that the salsa has Pico in it so if that's not your taste, you can ask for it without when they are taking your drink order. They also have a small spicy salsa and mild verde that comes out with it (you can also order queso dip as well). Now onto the main course: My wife ordered the tamales (pork cooked in a banana leaf) they were super soft and flavorful (wife 10/10 and she is picky with Tamales xD).She also got the steak tacos, Mexican style (cilantro and white onion), that come with corn tortillas and limes, its flavor very fresh and the steak was cooked perfect.I got the pork tacos American style (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and american cheese) on a flour tortilla; The pork was seasoned to perfection ? and it was loaded with meat, lettuce, sour cream and cheese. It was very good! Now here's the best part, for four tacos and two tamales with 3 drinks and queso (the salsa was complimentary) it was 37 dollars with some change; Not bad at all for all that food huh? They are family owned and operated ( I even saw the owner walk through lol) so go check them out and see if they become a new favorite of yours!

I grew up visiting family in San Luis Potosí. This place feels nostalgic even though it’s new. Brought my mom to tears with her remembering her time there. Food is fantastic and is about as authentic as it comes. I feel as though I’m eating in a restaurant in San Luis again.P.S. now we need some enchiladas potosinas!

Absolutely terrible! $10 for 4 tablespoons of guacamole side. Steak was tough! They charge for faucet water!!!! Service was absolutely terrible. Soda was more than a taco. $4.50 for a soda.
