They shut down before the Covid hit. It's now Longo's Italian Restaurant. Used to love Frankie's. Sorry that they left. There food and atmosphere was the best.

Frankie's was an Italian restaurant inside, owned and operated by Dover Downs casino. After the casino changed ownership, the new owners replaced Frankie's with Longo's, a martini and meat ball restaurant owned and operated by an outside company. It is nowhere near the quality of Frankie's.

Authentic and delicious Italian style food. Wine was nicely priced so you could enjoy a glass with your meal without breaking the bank, and was tasty but simple stuff. My bring-on-the-great husband got the penne arrabiata and was impressed that there was an actual prickle of pepper in it. My linguini pescatore had perfectly cooked seafood in it, and the caprese was incredibly generous with the fresh mozzarella. Server wasn't the most attentive I've had, but was very friendly, accommodating, and not shy when I asked for an opinion. Would absolutely go back.

Horrible customer service. I waited for like 25 minutes to get some mussels. I was not given any bread. I have never been to an Italian restaurant and not gotten bread before. Everyone else around me had bread. Then the waiter drops my mussels off and leaves. I have no napkin or silverware. Have to wait another 5 minutes for her to come back around just to get silverware. Now my mussels are cold. Then about 10 minutes later my salmon comes out. The manager brings it over. Does not say one word to me other than "Salmon". I told her to box it please. She had my waiter do it, I paid and left. I see where the waitress gets her customer service skills from. Not a hi, hello, how is everything going, nothing. Yet on my way out she is greeting another table. Oh and the mussels were nasty by the way.

I ate here once and took out food once while I was staying at Dover Downs for Father's day weekend. For take out, I got the lunch special which was Creamy Shrimp Carbonara. It was delicious and the bartender gave me a tray of bread too which was really good and made me full and happy. The next night, I got a comp and ate at the bar. The bartenders at this restaurant are really cool and friendly. They have a couple of regulars that like to hang out at the bar which I met and it was interesting talking to them as well. On the bartender's recommendation, I got the Penne Gratinate which was really good. I also got the Mozzarella Caprese salad which was also good. They cook the shrimp here perfectly and I was really happy to try this place out and really enjoyed the service and the food.

My husband and I were hungry and decided to get a pizza "to go" while visiting Dover Downs. Waiting 30 minutes for the pizza made us so hungry, we decided to stay and eat at the table at Frankies. Both my husband and I were on our SECOND slice of pizza, sitting outside of the restaurant in their outside space, when the bartender and waitress came out and told us we must leave "NOW". We were shocked. We asked why and was told since we ordered our food to go, we cannot sit at the restaurant to eat it. We looked at each other, my husband and I, with a partially eaten pizza in our hand and just shrugged. I asked since we already were eating could we finish eating and we will leave. They both said NO! LOUDLY! I have NEVER been thrown out of any place....and this is not the BEST place to eat at but we just wanted something small to tide us over. I will NEVER go back or order anything from them again. The rudeness and inappropriateness of telling diners that purchased food to leave was just mind numbing.

We have been coming to Dover for 20+ years. We camp at the track. On Friday May 3rd, we decided to eat dinner at the track. We got food from Frankie's. My husband got the Cheesesteak & fries, our son had Nachos & fries, I only had fries. My husband said the Cheesesteak was gross, the Nachos were soggy, nasty, not good at all. After eating food from here, our 12 year old son was up all night SO sick with pains in his stomach, vomiting & diarrhea. Food poisoning!! We stopped at the stand on Saturday & told them, they didn't even care!! We will NEVER eat food from here again!!

We've been coming to the NASCAR races for several years now at Dover. We camp at the track. On Fri May 3rd 2019 we decided to buy food from Frankie's concession. Ordered 2 cheese steaks. When we opened them it appeared the steak and cheese were blended. Really terrible looking stuff. My wife said it looked like canned dog food. I stated it looked like it came out of a babies diaper. Wife ate half of hers, I took a bite and threw almost the whole sandwich away. Wife threw her half left away also. I spoke with the manager of the concession and voiced my displeasure. Found out later that day from someone else who voiced a complaint to her that she had received many complaints about the food/service. Won't buy from them again.

I am sensing a theme in Dover. Food was pretty good, but the service is seriously lacking. Took 40 minutes to get water, and one in our group never got her sparkling water. Overall slow and inattentive. Server seemed taxed by having to be at work. So, if you come to eat at Dover Downs, food is pretty good, but bring your patience and a bottle of water.

We went here and were offered a private room which was a beautiful atmosphere. The only issue we had was two burned chicken parmesan and overcooked potatoes. The chef was informed and I guess he didnt like our constructive criticism.

The menu here is diverse and the food is exquisetly prepared. The sauces are tasty and the wait staff congenial and complementary.

We were skeptical after reading the reviews but so glad that we gave them a shot. Had a reservation for 7 pm and was seated immediately. Had the Caesar salad and rigatoni with sausage and peppers and my husband had the veal Parm. Both were generous portions and mine was delicious. The sausage was Spicey which I loved but others may not. Service was fantastic. Overall a great experience.

During our moms weekend we went here for dinner. The food was awesome but the service was rough. Our waitress took forever to refill our drinks and rarely came back to us. They were busy but not packed. The manager was amazing though and extremely understanding. The food was really really great and we would go back

Frankies restaurant is a good place to eat even if you do not want to gamble. You can dine in or get carryout.
