My friend and I went here for lunch. We ordered a dip sampler, lunch portion of salmon fajitas, beef empanadas, & taco salad. We enjoyed all our food except the beef empanadas, I do not recommend you order them they did not taste good. We will return for lunch.

This place in the past I would have given five stars. But the last two times have been very disappointing the portions were as if everything was on the kids menu but were priced as if it was giant portions. For example the picture below is what they call a $4.00 side of guacamole three nachos worth and a $18 chimichanga meal. I won’t be back unless I hit the lottery and am not really hungry The food did tasted good though.

I really want to like this restaurant. However, I find it to be so inconsistent. They usually do not have enough staff and seldomly have a true bartender. The manager Chuck is nice and I can tell he cares, but I was so disappointed tonight with the service. We ultimately left without ordering a meal.

Our group recently visited La Hacienda in Dover to support a Latin event, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Our server, Iris, was not friendly from the start and even attempted to overcharge us for the table. We also ordered a chocolate cake, and after waiting 30 minutes, we asked about it. Her response was shocking — she admitted she didn’t put in the order because she “did not want to be bothered with the table.”
This was our first time visiting Dover as a group of 12 from Wilmington and Newark, and sadly, it will be our last. We truly wanted to support the event and the establishment, but the poor service overshadowed everything.
The purpose of this review is not to call for Iris to be fired, but to encourage that she (and staff in general) receive proper customer service coaching. Experiences like this can cause loyal customers to stop returning, and we would hate to see that happen to your business.

We stopped here on a roadtrip on our way home. Such a great find! The salsa was amazing, as was the guacamole. The waitress was super kind and came with refills before we realized we needed them. Portions were generous. The kids portion was perfect (one taco and one side)
