I have been asking my husband to take me to Longhorn and for some reason we always end up eating somewhere else and today I was so excited because we finally made it. I just really loved the ambiance and most of all the steak there. We ended up having to leave, haven't even gotten my drink yet but I was so upset with the server. Her attitude was so bad. She was so mean from the beginning. She was telling us that they did not have things and that's fine, I understand but when my husband asked what they had she was so dismissive and just plain rude. Didn't want to eat there again because of that lady.

For a Friday night, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The bar had plenty of seats open, but was FULL of dirty dishes that hadn’t been cleared. We’d waited quite a while, but never saw the bartender. Finally, the hostess offered to clear the mess. We ordered steaks with shrimp and side salads. The salads were great. The steak and shrimp were overcooked and overloaded with salt. The bartender kept disappearing. I had to ask twice for water and we were never offered the bread & butter. She spent more time apologizing for her mishaps rather than actually doing her job. Someone tried to sit at a high top and the bartender, instead of taking initiative of customer service, barked at the woman from behind the bar, ‘You have to be seated there by the hostess!’ And finally, the gnats that were flying around the entire dinner. Was just a terrible experience all around.

My hometown is Dover, DE, and I was returning to visit some family. This Longhorn location was disappointing and an embarrassing reflection of what it looks like Dover has unfortunately become. I can’t even comment on the food, service or atmosphere, because I didn’t get much further past the host stand thanks to the horrible treatment and lack of hospitality we received from the manager or whatever she was at the host stand. We were rudely “greeted” when we arrived, and there were three or four tables currently occupied. The store clearly doesn’t do a lot of business during Tuesday afternoons, which is fair, but we were told we had to sit at the bar at a high top. I assume because there were only two servers on and the bartender didn’t have any business. When asked if that was okay, I was like “well it’s a little high for my mom”. Definitely not our preference and there were clearly empty tables. The rude woman at the front, in a snippy tone, said well I’m going to have to clear a table you can wait five minutes. We saw this as an indication of the future service we would receive and decided to leave. Was surprised to be treated like this by a place that had very little business. I hadn’t been to a Longhorn in years and was excited to try, but definitely won’t be returning in the future.

We keep trying to give this place a chance with the same result, except this time it was even worse. We received our bread, and appetizers with no utensils or napkins for at least 5 minutes. We were starving so we ate with our hands, well at least the side of the bread that wasn’t smashed. My steak was well done when I requested medium. I know I was asked to cut into but I don’t send food back.Oh and I forgot the constant bombardment of gnats.

Came to Delaware for an event and had a party of 15 and was turned away...it was empty tables and the excuse was not enough waitress/waiters...not sure we were being profiled but we very upset...I am Nj and ate at plenty of Longhorns locations...never had that experience before...never again!

We did carry out..waited over 45 minutes for our dinner. Got it & it was still lukewarm. But I will say that I've been eating at longhorn since my 20s the Salad i got had to be one of the biggest salads I've had in carryout from them. It was good, & they listened & didn't put my chicken on top which Wilts the lettuce & makes everything soggy. If, Im in Delaware again I would go back for sure

Shrimp was tuff. Rice had clumps. Sweet potato was stringer. Our waiter was accommodating. The mushrooms were delicious 😋

Never again waitress had a nasty attitude. Just sat down ask her to wipe table real quick and first off ignored the request and then when ask again walked away. Don’t come to work if you have a stank attitude just stay home. We just left didn’t order nothing.

Please step up your grill game. Servers are mostly good. I’ve noticed a trend in all area steak & burger places. Sous vide everything. No one wants a boiled steak or burger. Grill that S. Bring back the hot dripping grease. Hot greasy fries and a burger should not be rocket science especially for a $50 bill for two.
