Mrs. “Mrs.Tell/The/Truth” Truth

Well our experience was terrible on Valentines Night, a 2 hour wait to get in and another 2 hours for our food. When it finally came out my husband's steak was pink and dry and mine was bleeding not well done at all which is what we asked for. The server took mine back only to return again with it still not done, so we took it to go and recooked at home. Oh and I forgot to mention my daughter's burger came out with no lettuce and cheese right out of fridge not melted at all and she had to look for the bacon which I think was extra. Needless to say if you're celebrating a special occasion keep driving.

I know it was valentine's day. But service of cooked food was slow. My steak was requested to be rare. It was barely so. Part was medium rare and part well done. Curious as to how that happened. My baked sweet potato was cooked on one side sort of. Other side undone. Cinnamon and sugar just dumped in the split. So all the butter was on the plate. Server offered a new steak. Hell no, not waiting that long again. So I ate what I could. I want to mention similar happened to a table next to us. Both their steaks were not cooked enough, they had requested medium rare and medium well. Both those steaks went back. It took a long time to get their next ones. I will have a little something when we get home. Sigh. Happy Valentine to me. Hope your food was better.

CLEAN THIS RESTAURANT. The gnats made it impossible to enjoy the meal so we had to take it to go. The food was good but I also had to ignore the fact that the gnats were probably in the kitchen too 🤢 every light fixture, decoration was covered in dust. The manager completely ignored us the first time & then the second time gave us 25% off after we had to ask. He said they called an exterminator but based on the reviews this has been an issue for months! The waitress did her best but this is beyond serving tables.

This place needs to be closed for a good month for a deep DEEP cleaning! The gnats are AWFUL, they are everywhere. I’m pretty sure there is a infestation problem. The booths are dirty, the menus are dirty just all around gross. I walked out!

We went to Longhorn for the first time last weekend. The service was great, the restaurant was nicely decorated, booths were nice and private. The standout was definitely the food. I’m no steak connoisseur but the steak I had was the most tender and flavorful that I’ve ever had. The broccoli perfectly done and baked potato was actually baked not microwaved. Don’t let the outside of the restaurant fool you because it’s huge inside. The only bad thing was the very intense noise. It sounded like the restaurant was packed with a party but it was about 1/3 full. Maybe it was just the rambunctious groups but I couldn’t hear my companion talking and he was just across the table AND we were in a 4 foot tall booth.

I have been asking my husband to take me to Longhorn and for some reason we always end up eating somewhere else and today I was so excited because we finally made it. I just really loved the ambiance and most of all the steak there. We ended up having to leave, haven't even gotten my drink yet but I was so upset with the server. Her attitude was so bad. She was so mean from the beginning. She was telling us that they did not have things and that's fine, I understand but when my husband asked what they had she was so dismissive and just plain rude. Didn't want to eat there again because of that lady.

For a Friday night, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The bar had plenty of seats open, but was FULL of dirty dishes that hadn’t been cleared. We’d waited quite a while, but never saw the bartender. Finally, the hostess offered to clear the mess. We ordered steaks with shrimp and side salads. The salads were great. The steak and shrimp were overcooked and overloaded with salt. The bartender kept disappearing. I had to ask twice for water and we were never offered the bread & butter. She spent more time apologizing for her mishaps rather than actually doing her job. Someone tried to sit at a high top and the bartender, instead of taking initiative of customer service, barked at the woman from behind the bar, ‘You have to be seated there by the hostess!’ And finally, the gnats that were flying around the entire dinner. Was just a terrible experience all around.
