They sell bad items then refuse to accept returns.
Update:
Went to use customer service again, Which is horrible. Stood there for about 30 minutes other employees call for help went unanswered. 1 employee named Veronica actually try to find me help. Manager stated she was in a conference call & the only who could work the front desk . Bunch of excuses this company needs to close customer service then because obviously you can’t serve the public!!!!!!! Do better!
Update: customer service rep with red hair name is Kim, yelling at customers asking what do you want???? Once again she needs to be removed from this job and sound like she hates it!!!!

Manager shift around 5:46 pm needs to be replaced. She has a serious attitude problem & do not want to help the customer or employees. All she wants to do is go outside to smoke cigarettes. SEND HER HOME PERMANENTLY!!! Geeezzzzzz

Why do they over proof their bagels?
Well the place is great but if you want a special cake forget about it. Inconsistent design and wrong icing. Called and the lady was nasty and she even said she doesn't know anything about the bakery department. Told me to bring the cake back. It's for a kids birthday. I wasn't tasting it in the store. Glad they can't help when they mess up all I got was an attitude. Got some pictures. My daughter could of designed this better.
Charles in the meat/seafood area has zero customer service skills. He stated to a fellow employee “come get your people” when i asked for help in the seafood department. There is literally just a divider betwen the meat and seafood section. Whats the difference if youre behind the counter between both sections. Charles had on the same uniform as his fellow employee so he shouldve been able to assist or call for for help. His comment was unnecessary and rude. Please hire the appropriate staff who are willing to help all customers and not pass the responsibility off to another employee. I hope he is reprimanded to the fullest degree.
What a terrible experience again at this Safeway. While waiting for anyone to acknowledge that I was trying to make a purchase at the deli counter (which took a while with 4 people behind the counter and one other customer at the counter) one of the workers was yelling at and speaking harsh to a customer trying to order. The customer never raised his voice back to her but she kept going. Finally someone asked if they could help me, I got what I requested and headed towards the checkout. It’s as if there’s no one managing the store anymore. Product on carts all over the place, employees being rude to customers…. we are looking for a different place to do our business. This is just sad to see
I was there almost an hour ago. The over heard the manager at self checkout talking trash about a lady with her son. The son look about 5 yrs old and autistic. The manager complained that the woman was moving slow. There was no lines and the lady didn't need any help. That African American manager woman was rude and disgusting.
Great supermarket with a wide variety of groceries and products with good prices. Everyone I been to, the staff is courteous and always willing to help. I just moved to Dover and the Safeway is 5 minutes away!! ?

I've been to other markets, but I always come back to Safeway!!

Two checkouts open on Saturday while it’s really busy. Never again.
More expensive than other local grocery stores but they have a great deli and salad bar. The Starbucks inside is very nice.

I called 5 times and they all still didn't answer for customer service.
Went to deli . 4 people were working and no one acknowledged me . I waited for almost 10 minuets . I finally spoke up and the lady by the sandwich section said someone will help shortly . Mind you none of the 4 people were assisting customers they were all just doing normal job functions . After another 10 min wait I finally walked away and gave my business to a store that wanted and valued my business . I tried calling the store to complain and was on hold for another 5 or so minuets and no one answered . I truely think Safeway doesn’t care about their customers .
