I was looking around for a good soul food restaurant last night. We normally go out of the state to eat. I looked online and found this place. I read the reviews. I just wanted to check it out for myself. The fried whiting was super delicious. It was season very well. The yams were also delicious. They ran out of the Mac n cheese. So, that tells me that it is good. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Hopefully they get the support and be around for years to come. There are no good food places to eat here in Dover and in Delaware.

This is our second time buying food here and it won’t be the last. We have ordered fried flounder, fried whiting and fried shrimp. All were well seasoned and large pieces. The greens, mac n cheese, and candied yams were great and large portions. Hopefully, every thing will stay consistent, food quality and quantity……I don’t mind paying more but hate when restaurants start skimping. Brenda

I saw this little spot in Dover, unassuming. But the food, the fish, shrimp, corn fritters, crab boil is scrumptious and the chicken has this island flavor....amazing. Made to order so your food is fresh and hot! Please try this black woman's food, she is fire!

Food was good..a lil over cooked. Fish was hard and lil rubbery from being over cooked. Very high salt flavor. And only 2 tables in case you wanted to sit in. I wouldn't go put my way to go back.

The collard greens didn't taste like collards and was swimming in oil. I've never experienced oily collards greens in my life.The mac and cheese was awful! It may have been made with some sort of processed cheese like Velveeta. The fried chicken was salty. The person who took my order was professional and pleasant.

The service was excellent however, the fried Salmon was over cooked, but seasoned well. If you are going to fry Salmon you have to master the temperature. The Whiting wasn’t fresh. The corn bread and Mac & Cheese was tasty. Wouldn’t return.

Cons: Food was just mid. Fish was lacking seasoning and not fried hard. Mac and cheese was not good. Collard greens weren't seasoned like "soul food" collard greens. But then again, the cook and the front desk staff seem to be from the islands, so you can't expect soul food flavors.
