I actually couldn’t imagine any other reason as to why this place would have 4 plus stars, I’m not sure if it’s because limited options in the area but living in so many other states this was one of the most underwhelming and overpriced buffets I’ve ever been too. Aside from being pregnant and specifically thinking I was paying 60 for 2 people for hot pot to find out they no longer serve it , one of the smallest sections of buffets I’ve seen. I can only say it was clean. Some of the food was cold the sushi was decent. Nothing was horrible but the price for what’s to offer is crazy to me, I also feel like you should tell customers you no longer serve hot pot , I came in with a pregnancy craving left very upset that I had to settle with the limited options on the the hot bar. Very disappointed. Service I can’t speak to much on we were brought waters and that was the only interaction until I requested the check.

Unlike when they first had their grand opening, the quality of their food has steadily declined. I find the prices far too high for what they now offer. Their sushi selection is limited, and at times the fish tastes as if it has been repeatedly frozen and thawed. The rice has become colder, less flavorful, and served in oversized portions. The menu, too, feels uninspired compared to before.
If they could return to the standard they had at the beginning, their current prices would be justified. But as it stands now, the value of their service feels closer to about $20 per person.

Hello everyone. Not my first time at the UMI. Before we been to one in NJ. And we been impressed how good is it. But exactly this one is like totally another place. We would never come back. Food, atmosphere, service is terrible. I don't want to stop and discuss the details, but we would not recommend it. And we not planning ever be here again. Go try another place or drive to NJ. Not recommend.

We went for lunch. For $19.99 I thought it was a good deal. They have a wide variety of sushi, seafood and Chinese foods and desserts. If you are looking for snow crab it’s only served for dinner at $29.99. I will definitely be back!

Well….I wanted this place to be good based on reviews and recommendations, but we went and I don’t think I can say one positive thing about the food. Noodles looked and were dry, chicken and broccoli looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp all day, cheese wontons tasted sour, general tso tasted off (burnt/sour), fries were horrendous, fried rice was overcooked and crispy, etc... I will say the service was actually good and attentive, but for $30 a person the food needs to be way better than what they tried to serve. The most ironic part was the fortune from one of our fortune cookies that I wish I opened before eating any of the food. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon.

I had a truly disappointing experience here. I usually go to the Umi Sushi Buffet in Virginia and expected the same quality, but this location was the complete opposite. The food was far below standard—the tempura was soggy, the rice was poorly made, and the sushi options were extremely limited with no flavor.
The quality was so bad it made me feel sick. In a small town like this, restaurants need to build up regulars, but this kind of experience will only drive people away. Honestly, this was the worst buffet I’ve ever been to. Please reconsider your approach, because guests deserve much better

Worst UMI location ever!!! I’ve enjoyed other UMI buffets, but the Delaware Umi buffet was a huge disappointment. The restaurant is tiny, food options are very limited, the food quality is terrible and by 8pm seafood was never refilled. Sushi chefs left around 7pm. And they are leaving only cheap fried food. They even removed hotpot, yet still charge $30 for dinner. So ridiculous for $30 per person, it’s absolutely not worth it, the only edible thing was fruits. Save your money and do not come here!

I recently tried @umipremiumbuffet in Dover Delaware for the first time and it was definitely worth the hype! They have everything you could ask for including all you can eat surf & turf, sushi, hot pot, and more! You can tell everything is fresh! My favorites were the Coconut Shrimp, Sweet Chili Chicken, and the Pork Dumplings! They also have good options for picky eaters too. Check them out!

Went here several months ago and loved it, came today around 5:30pm and alot of the food was cold and just terrible tasting. I'm not sure if they have somebody taste the food after they make it but the fried rice was super salty. The crab legs tasted like salt water. Alot of the meats were cold or bland. Never in my life have I left a buffet hungry aside from today. I ordered a ginger ale and it was a lemon tasting sprite. So I ordered a Pepsi instead and it was flat. For 30 dollars that's kind of crazy. The desserts were good but that's it.
