Matteo's Salsa Loco - Dine-In and Delivery

We checked out Matteo's because we'd never been and it is right across from where we stay every year. We were greeted with live music upon entering which provided a nice atmosphere and the staff was upfront with the fact that they were short staffed. The staff's bickering with one another provided A level of entertainment, even if awkward, and you couldn't help but continue to watch and be invested. However, the nachos were the absolute worst nachos I've ever had in my life. The chips were stale to the point of tasting months old and were weirdly chewy. Needless to say, we did not eat them all, threw them away, and found fresh, tastier nachos at Tequila Mockingbird.

Ate here a few nights ago and wish we hadn't. It was four of us and another group of three people and our food took over 45 minutes to be served. The crab quesadilla was very good. I enjoyed that. Wife had the taquitos, which she thinks were frozen, not fresh. Coco Loco mixed drink was terrible.

Definitely would not re-visit the next time we're in the area.

Was amazing Matteo was amazing and hilarious. Vibe was right. Food was worth the price in taste and freshness even with it being near 11pm when we got there. Other locals/tourists were fun and friendly will return next trip??

Lil nook in Fenwick area that seems to be a local fav with dining, pub side and out door area with an artsy flare. Servers and owners very personable. Food is pretty good, tacos, fish of day, tamales sometimes, daily specials. Good music. My only complaint is their drink and beer prices...way too much for domestic beers. I hoped given Fenwick and their local following that the drinks would be less expensive. We typically make a visit during each of our stays to the area.

My family vacations near Fenwick Island every August and we've been having dinner here since they were in Bethany Beach. The food has always, ALWAYS been excellent. It's one of my favorite places to dine. The last few times we've been there, though, the experience has been a little bizarre. On one occasion we showed up around 6pm and while the doors were open, the lights weren't even on in the dining room, there was no air conditioning, the only waitress that was supposedly working that night didn't show up and so the cook (yes, the cook!) was our waiter. He seemed very nervous and reasonably so but I cannot stress enough how awesome he was. He did everything and let me tell you this, on that night we had the best guacamole we've ever had. The cook's name was Luis and I truly hope he's still there and given the appreciation he deserves. He's the reason I'm giving service 4 stars instead of 3.

My wife and I have had other strange experiences here, like one time when we were there in May and it took well over an hour for our food to be prepared. The woman who was waiting our table had a number of different excuses for this, none of which made any sense. However, she did continue to bring us chips and salsa while we waited. Then, when we finally did get our food, there were a couple things that were missing. And we don't complain about things like that because the service industry is such difficult work and if you do complain, you're almost always complaining to the wrong person. But it doesn't change the fact that the experiences we've had in recent years are not normal dining experiences.

But again, and I can't stress this enough, the food has always been top notch, and that's why we keep going back. If you're looking for a great meal with some Mexican flair, it's an excellent choice. Just be aware that you might leave happy, full and confused!

The drinks were like we read a spot in Florida and the Mexican food was excellent. The music was playing and we loved every second of it, I can’t say enough of it. I love it love it love it.

It's a small resturant close to the MD/DE boarder but with plenty of down home atmosphere. One could be a regular here, but it's pricing is higher than I want to pay, plus they add 3.5 percent if paying by credit card. Well, that would make up for not paying the extra food and drink tax included if this resturant was in Maryland.

Flying an already altered American flag upside down on 4th of July is about as offensive as it gets to this Patriot. The food was horrible too, I found 2 separate hairs! Additionally, the staff became irate when they didn’t understand me on the phone. Good luck to this lost business!
