Great dive bar atmosphere the night we went. Not in their busy season so it was quiet. Rockfish tacos and the sauce is so yummy! We also loved the beef tacos. They also have the world best margaritas!

If it weren't for the misguided "thin blue line" flag above the restaurant, this place would be perfect while in town. I know, it's a political rabbit hole, and a bit of hypocrisy after Jan. 6th, but I'll leave all of that to the owners. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and amazing! The food is terrific and the margaritas are as bragged about: the best. This is a place worth visiting!Vegetarian options: It's tex-mex; there are always vegetarian options. Just be kind and they will be too.Parking: Some limited parking in the front and more along the side street.Kid-friendliness: Kid menus and good music. Bring coloring books and non-tablet activities if needed.

Called to order take out and was asked to call back in 5min. That didn’t bother me as much as the meal did not come with chips and salsa, so I ordered chips and salsa, $9 later, chips were so stale.I ordered the taco platter. $20 for 3 stale hard shell tacos. Thankfully the protein was flavorful and had a bag of Doritos so made the most of what I could!The chicken quesadilla was good, that’s my silver lining. For $50, I was seriously disappointed. Definitely a one and done experience for us with Matteo’s.

I have been coming to Fenwick Island for years and staying basically right across the street from here, but I never tried it, because from the outside, it looks like a sketchy bar where I wouldn’t want to take my children. I was so very wrong! This place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The customer service was great. The inside was nice – the initial area does look like a bar, and there is more of a restaurant feel to the second side of the restaurant. It was darker than I preferred, but overall, this was a really wonderful experience and I plan to come back here every year. I am in town.

This is a review I had left on Yelp a couple years ago but I wanted to share this on here as well. We had to call twice to get someone on the line but was able to order carry-out easy enough once that happened. I had looked at their website/menu before calling. This was the first time we ordered from there. The wait wasn't too long and the food was good.

Can't beat what this has to offer! Great margaritas and the staff is great. A true diamond in the rough. We always take a stop to see Matt as he prepares the best margaritas around. Plus he goes out of his way to make people feel at home.
I order the same surf and turf cimichhanga every year and it never disappoints!!! So delicious!!! I highly recommend all their food and the margaritas are amazing!!! I'll be back next year!!

Love this place !! Went their twice for lunch during our vacation. First time ordered to go and ate on the beach .. Lump crab quesadilla was wonderful! We also took advantage of the to go margaritas! Ladies waiting on us both visits were friendly helpful and prompt ! I highly recommend!

We have only had carry out from Matteo's. But during COVID, we had their to-go margaritas (which are great) and tacos. I have noticed an advertised Mexican breakfast that I would love to try--so that's on my to-do list. I also appreciate that they have some outdoor seating, sometimes have music and are so conveniently located to the residential area of Fenwick (and the beach!)
