Matt's Fish Camp Fenwick

I will not go again

I had been going to the Matt's in north Bethany....but Fenwick is way nicer! I got something off the fish board twice in two weeks, always something different on there. Excellent! and.......the service is the BEST.

Very disappointed in this place. I Had to drive around the block twice looking for a parking spot then finally found the parking across the street. Ordered, Oysters and they were good but very overpriced. Drinks were almost undrinkable. Blackened catfish was mushy and tasted like an aquarium smells. I’m Writing this review the next day and still kind of feel a little sick to my stomach. Honestly it was nasty. DO NOT GO

We had a great dinner here! Excellent staff.

Wed afternoon so a quiet time. I had their rib special, peach b-b-q. Very good! We were allowed to “pick” sides- with a small upcharge. Mac and cheese was delicious. Waitress was pleasant and attentive.

This place had a very laid back vibe to it. The staff was friendly and attentive. The cost was surprising as it was more expensive than most of the other restaurants we had been to in the area. That being said they will get a lower rating from this particular diner.

Went in at 12:30PM, and was seated and served promptly. This was our second time here this season, and each time appetizers and entrees, and service, were excellent. Will definitely come here again!

As always, had another great dinner at Matts. Took advantage of their Thursday crab cake deal. Food is always great and so is the service. I love off season specials!

Had squash gnocchi that was terrific.very good friendly wait staff and receptionist
Restaurant and bathrooms very clean. Easy parking.Will drive there again 33 miles from home.

Sadly, Matt’s Fish Camp has surcum to cutting quality to serve inferior seafood. It used to be thee place for delicious seafood when in town. Now, clam strips!!?? Instead of Ipswich clams as they always had, year round! The batter on the fried seafood is just below average or equal to Red Lobster!
The cod has no flavor- More fries than seafood??? What happened to chip or fries-
This place is just a glorified Happy Hour joint!
