I did not have a chance to try the food because we were never seated. When I walked in, I asked the employee behind the bar if we could be seated for a table for two and he scoffed at me and said he “didn't know what I was talking about.” I tried to rephrase and he walked away without responding. Another employee came to the front and explained they were booked for the evening and were no longer sitting people at the bar or at tables. I’m giving two stars because this gentleman was polite and communicative. Shame on the employee working behind the bar who treats people that way who are only looking to support a local business. I would anticipate the restaurant would be much more successful without an employee treating customers this way.

Admittedly, I can’t even review the food because I was hung up on while trying to order. Called at 7:30 on a Friday night and was told it wouldn’t be ready until 9:30. The guy answering the phone said nothing would be ready until 9:30 and just hung up. I was calling to place an order for some basic rolls that weren’t even going to be needed/eaten until 9:30 at the earliest so it would’ve been perfect had I been able to even place the order. Pretty frustrating experience.

Walked in on a Friday night and sat down at the bar, was greeted immediately. Solo diner but I was entertained all evening. The sushi rollers were friendly and easy going, had great recommendations. Bartender/server Matt was very attentive and always kept my drink full. Food and cocktails were amazing, good choice of music playing in the background as well! These guys know good sushi & great hospitality.

The guy making most of the food wasn't wearing gloves. He was touching every piece of fish with his bare hands. Also a couple ants were crawling across the bar. Ants happen but that coupled with the no gloves had me grossed out.

Me and some of my buddies were down here on vacation and never had sushi before. Decided to stop in and give this place a try. Was super suprised how great the food was at this little hole in the wall sushi restaurant. Will definitely come check it out again when we are back in town.

It was out of season when we went. Early May. When I first walked in, the case that holds all the fish looked off. I almost walked out just based on that and the vibe I got. We sat down anyway because we love sushi and the rolls sounded great online. Ordered 4 Sushi rolls and I told my wife if anything tastes, smells, or looks off, don’t eat it. The rolls were over sauced which could have just been how they prepare it but my guess is it was to cover up anything unpleasant. Before my wife ate any, she didn’t like the look of any of the fish on her rainbow roll. Colors were off. I tried a piece of tuna off her rainbow roll after having a few pieces of my rolls. Immediately asked for the check. Ended up being sick that night and the next day. $90 and I lost a day and a half of a 3 day vacation with my wife. I would not recommend any sushi here, ever. Service was fine and atmosphere was ok. Gave it 1 star to make sure the review was seen as 1 star.

Yuzu Sushi in Fenwick Island, Maryland, is an absolute gem, especially if you're looking to savor the last few weekends of summer with a cool breeze and an outdoor dining experience that sets the perfect scene. The ambiance is nothing short of delightful—picture yourself enjoying a meal under the summer sky, with the gentle sound of waves in the background. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and truly appreciate the season.

We kicked off our meal with the tuna tostadas, dipped in a luscious eel sauce that was nothing short of perfection. The crispy tostadas paired with the rich, savory sauce were a chef’s kiss moment. The gyoza was equally impressive, with a dipping sauce so delicious that we saved every drop to complement our sushi rolls.

Speaking of sushi, Yuzu's rolls are in a league of their own. The Tsunami roll, with its hint of jalapeño, delivered an explosion of flavors that was both bold and refreshing. The Sandbar roll was a unique standout—the pineapple added a tropical twist that was surprisingly harmonious. The Spider Pig roll was a true Maryland experience, showcasing local flavors in an innovative way. And the list goes on—the Tanker, Tropical Storm, Spicy Scallops, Dynamite, and Steak Fried Rice were all mouthwatering delights that left us craving more.

To top off the evening, we indulged in some expertly crafted cocktails. The Japanese Old Fashioned was a sophisticated blend that hit all the right notes, while the White Marlin was a refreshing 10/10. The Whiskey Sour was the perfect drink to round off a truly unforgettable meal.

What really made our experience at Yuzu Sushi exceptional was our server, Berke. He was incredibly friendly and brought an amazing energy to the evening. Berke was not only helpful but also went above and beyond in making great recommendations, ensuring that we had the best of what the menu had to offer. His expertise didn't stop at the food—the mocktails he crafted were just as impressive, refreshing, and perfectly tailored to our tastes. His attentiveness and enthusiasm truly elevated our visit, making the entire experience a 10/10.

This place used to offer high quality and high level culinary sushi and other creative dishes. No more. Sushi is boring and average and does not match the prices they charge. Service has always been their strength. Please take off chinese dishes if u cant make them good. Wont come back til you improve ur quality and culinary creativity.
