I don’t post reviews ever, but this needed to be said. I had called in advance to see if we needed a reservation since I hear they are typically busy. My parents had gotten sushi from them a couple of times and have told me about it, so I wanted to try it out. When someone finally picked up the phone they didn’t even say hello until I had greeted them. I had asked if I needed a reservation and he said no just come on in. I said okay, we can come any time soon? He said just come right now and hung up. My family and I had just gotten into the car to come in and I had gotten a text from the number I called. It stated: “hey we’re closing early at 8:30 to see John Mayer”. So I didn’t even get to the restaurant to try their sushi for the first time. Really great customer service you got there ! ? You also need to find someone nicer to answer your phonesP.S. found an ever better sushi place in OC

Would've loved to dine, but the moment I walked in I got a whiff of rotten fish. Sushi restaurants should smell the opposite of rotten. Disgusting. Absolutely avoid this place at all costs.

This place has some delicious sushi. Had dinner with my mom & it was excellent. Server was nice & informative on the sushi rolls. Great atmosphere and even some outdoor seating available.

This place is ok. I'm told the rice grade could improve, but the raw fish used tasted fine. The service was fine. The location is not big, so there could be a wait depending on when you go.
Ordered online for take out on 8/25/23. A Friday night in the summer season. They took my money via online ordering and I went to pick it up and they were closed that day. I called the number listed but their voice mail box was full. Why take peoples money if you aren't open?? This isn't the first time this has happened. Service is typically terrible as well which is why we attempted to do online take out. Will never be going back. Your company will not survive if you keep pissing off the locals as that is how you survive 9 months out of the year. Good luck.

Yanni and his team make some of the best sushi and fresh fish. Their attention to detail and customer service exceeds my expectations. Relaxed and energetic vibes from the sushi bar with unique cocktails and tasty sushi. Will be back next time. Strip steak was amazing.

Took over 30 min to get our mediocre food. Sushi was made by young men who wore NO food prep gloves. Rolls fell apart and fish did not taste fresh. Ordered a house salad and it was romaine leaves, carrots and red peppers, $15!!! We will not be returning!

Best ginger dressing around no question. Sushi was also great - Riptide, Ocean Side, Boardwalk especially. Chef Yanni definitely knows his sushi and great vibe will definitely be back!

Not authentic sushi AT ALL. As a former sushi restaurant employee, this was hands down the most overpriced and WORST "sushi" I've ever eaten over the past 20 years at multiple restaurants.1. Our order took much longer than expected. NBD because it was a fairly big order.2. We paid $15 for romaine tops (the worst part of the lettuce) and a few raw carrot chunks, cucumber slices, and about 6 avocado slices.3. The sushi rice was not seasoned AT ALL.4. The "miso soup" had ZERO tofu or kombu. It tasted like watered down chicken broth and definitely NOT miso. Could've been a urine sample for all we know.5. The edamame was way overcooked and had no salt on it.6. The rolls were unevenly cut and rolled poorly - many fell apart.7. Fillings were skimpy in the sushi rolls.8. $25 Fried rice was overcooked and underseasoned on a huge bed of rice that contained what seemed like a previously frozen mixed vegetable mix.Have absolutely nothing positive to contribute at all. Avoid at all costs!!!
