I was hesitant to go here after reading all the reviews about the slow service but decided to go since the reviews of the food seemed to be good. My husband and I loved it. Our server was quite friendly and kept coming back to make sure we were okay. I had the best burger I’ve had in a long time. Our fries were piping hot the way I expect them. Plenty of parking across the street if the restaurant lot is full. Sorry this place is now closing for the winter. This place is right on the water. It will be amazing in the spring. We walked across the parking lot and tried the Bayview Tavern too.

Rude doesn't even begin to describe the treatment we received on 11/5/25. Our party of 7 waited over an hour for a table even though there were empty tables in the dining room and the hostess/waitress refused to seat us at those empty tables for various bogus reasons. She walked away from my husband while he was talking to her, she talked to me like I was a child and was equally rude to my daughter. Not once were we offered a drink while we waited in the bar. She refused to give us a time estimate of when we could be seated and truly seemed like she didn't care if we ever got seated. I was embarrassed in front of my family, some from out-of-state who were looking forward to a great seafood dinner. Because I did not want this disrespectful person to wait on us if we ever were to be seated we decided to leave and had a very nice dinner at Meding's Seafood. Being highly disappointed I did reach out to management the next day but did not receive a response. Clearly their employees need to be educated on customer service. We will not return.

Sweet oysters and delicious sea food! The sesame tuna nachos were excellent. Casual waterside dining, just a little noisy because of the full house!

Although overpriced, the food itself was pretty good. The payment policy that they have is ridiculous. The help was not very friendly, and almost rude at times. I will not be going back.

This was my first time visiting JP’s on the Wharf Restaurant. The outside atmosphere is beautiful, filled with plants and a great view of the bay. They offer outdoor seating facing the water, but it was a bit too chilly to sit outside during our visit. Inside is cozy with several tables. They don’t take reservations, but our party of six only waited about 10 minutes for a table.
Our waitress, Cassidy, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with the calamariand Yucatan shrimp appetizers, both delicious.
For entrées, we ordered the Yellowfin Tuna, Crab Cake, Fish and Chips, CAB Ribeye, and the Tropical Salad with Snow Crab Clusters. My husband loved his crab cake with its crisp golden crust and flavorful crabmeat. My sister-in-law’s ribeye was tender and perfectly cooked. My brother-in-law enjoyed his tuna, nicely blackened outside and raw in the middle. My niece said the fish and chips were the best she’s had in a long time; crispy, light, and tasty.
The beer and wine were good and paired nicely with our meals. The only downside was the water, which had a strange taste. I’d suggest the restaurant offer complimentary bottled water.
Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals, and we had a wonderful dining experience. I’d definitely come back, especially when it’s warmer to enjoy the outdoor seating and beautiful bay view.

Both mine and my wife’s hamburgers were served on rolls that fell apart and couldn’t be picked up. I don’t know what “lettuce “ they used but it looked like grass cuttings. The onion rings (4) were over cooked. On top of everything, the meal was very expensive. The $37 halibut was at best 3” long.
This was our first time there and were delighted with the way we were treated.... Walked in the front door and we're immediately greeted by a wonderfully friendly girl named Maddie.... She was also our server and was terrific.... We relaxed on the deck and had a great time.... We will definitely visit them again before the season shut down....
