The Kiwanis barbecue chicken stand is open Saturday and Sunday from 11-sell out.

I picked up two platters on a whim when I saw they were open. 110% will be back. The chicken was well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and a nice size. The platter comes with pickles, a roll, and chips. The only thing I’d love to see them add would be some kind of sauce on the side!

Terrible restaurant. Came with a large crowd - called at least 4 hours ahead of time. Owner was very disrespectful, belligerent and condescending to us in front of the entire restaurant as he said we “never confirmed we were coming - so we decided to leave. Their loss ! We took our 20+crowd to another restaurant that wanted our business!

Was staying nearby this hidden gem. Only opens late on weekends. Excellent brisket. Good friendly service. Very good value. Highly recommended.

Ribs were O burned very overcooked, hard and dry. I mentioned to server the owner came out and mortified me in front of my whole family "defending her product. I tried to defend myself without further embarrassment but it was moot. I sat there quietly while everyone in restaurant heard my beratement. I was also.offered some unsolicted medical advice from the unofficial fat daddys medical team. This on top of their willy nilly restaurant hours, we were advised when we got there that they close early now..hint hint basically why did you come here and hurry up and eat and leave. I can't help your advertised hours are wrong everywhere online. Despite protest they brought me a replacement order of ribs, also burnt. It's obvious they are precooked, probably frozen then thrown over 3000 degree flames on order, resulting is a mostly cremated carcass. Not going back even though it's my husband's favorite place. This is strike 3 for me with them too.

Although the restaurant is very casual and lacks any kind of formal restaurant atmosphere (picnic tables in the back room) the food was excellent. We ordered the homemade cornpone and pulled pork (Carolina style) sandwiches and a brisket sandwich. I got a side of collard greens that were so good that I went home and a couple of days later bought fresh collards and found a recipe and cooked some at home. Mine were very good, but Fat Daddy’s were even better. One of us got baked beans, two of us got mac and cheese (fabulous) and two of us got the wonderful collard greens. We will definitely go back there in the near future. They’re only open from Thurs. - Sun. I believe, but it’s well worth the trip.

Taste of Home's Grace Mannon and Thrill List's Dan Gentile both ranked Fat Daddy's the #1 'cue joint in Delaware. It certainly is very good. We went with a 3 meat (brisket, hot Italian sausage, 3 wings), 2 side (greens, mac 'n cheese) plate. At $23.48 plus tip, the price point was certainly reasonable. We enjoyed it all, but would note that everything except the wings had some degree of heat. Both of the homemade sides were top notch, the wings tender and well smoked, and the brisket moist, blessed with good bark, and featuring a classic central Texas taste profile. Still, the highlight for us was the hot Italian sausage, which we would treat as a "must do" on future visits. A terrific stop.

We have been here a few times. We have never been disappointed. I got smoked wings, brisket, potato salad, and baked beans. All perfect and made with care. My wife got pulled pork, cole slaw and fries. All perfect. All items are made in house to perfection. The owner has always come out and checked to see if everything was to our liking. He is very personable. If you like BBQ, you will LOVE Fat Daddys!

I love attending races at Georgetown Speedway. Every time I have attended I have had the Fat Daddy's brisket there. This brisket is excellent. Just going through the gate to have brisket is worth the trip. I think I am an expert on baked beans (I would help our church in making homemade beans)..for sides I often get 2 portions of these baked beans. Looking forward to opening day at Georgetown Speedway March 2020. Jeff 5*'s

Stopped by on the way back to DC from Ocean City. We all had a great meal. The brisket was the best we've ever eaten, including the Amish Market in Laurel, MD. The hamburgers, sausage and ribs wonderful also. The prices on the menu were not as the same paid, which was annoying. Price per pound of the brisket on the menu said $15.50 per pound ending up being $18.50 per pound. Claimed COVID as the reason. Also the waitress gave a reason as the new menu's not yet arrived. Could have easily been told in advanced or marked over with marker. Great food none the less.

I saw a food episode on the news one night about a BBQ restaurant in Georgetown, and it looked interesting. My Wife and I happened to be in Georgetown shopping so it was a perfect time to try it out. Let me tell you that Fat Daddy's BBQ is probably the best I've ever had. I had the Mix It-Up (3) Meat dinner of 1.2 rack, brisket and Hot Italian Sausage. The Brisket was spot on the best I've had in a long time as well as the ribs and sausage. The sides are all home made and the collard greens and mac and cheese were great as well., My Wife who is some what a finicky eater ordered the Fat daddy Classic Burger and was surprised out how delicious and seasoned the burger was. I have to say that for me this is my new "go-to" BBQ place. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get as well. The service was very friendly, warm and welcoming. They do an excellent job on Social Distancing as well.

My wife found reviews for Fat Daddy's and we knew we had to check it out while in the area. The restaurant is located in a rural area about half way between Seaford and Georgetown. We arrived shortly after 12pm and went inside where there were several people picking up to-go orders. Due to covid they were only offering table service outside which is where we headed. Amy quickly greeted us and took our drink orders. I ordered a diet soda and my wife ordered the Mama Frey's Homemade Lemonade. We both decided on our entrees, I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of mac-n-cheese and my wife ordered 6 of the smoked chicken wings also with a side of mac-n-cheese. During our visit we also met Fat Daddy, we learned the restaurant has been in operation for about 8 years when Fat Daddy retired after 38 years as a mason. He told us he took his hobby of grilling/smoking and made it into a business. He was very friendly and welcoming and told us that all the meats except the chicken is smoked with hickory wood while the chicken is cooked on Kingsford charcoal briquettes. Our orders arrived quickly and looked awesome! Amy also brought us two barbecue sauces, hot and regular. We dug in and were both impressed with the creaminess and cheesiness of the mac-n-cheese. My wife really enjoyed the chicken wings and said they were much bigger than the average chicken wings. My brisket sandwich was delicious and very tender and juicy. My wife really enjoyed the lemonade as well. The prices were reasonable as well. This is a definite must visit if you are in the area - everything was a definite 5-stars!!!!

We are on our way to the beach for a week so we decided to stop into this BBQ joint, let me tell you the food is great! We had our dogs with us and either he owner or manager (a guy) asked if our dogs were in the truck and we said yes, the gentleman let us pull our truck around to the back a shaded area to keep the dogs cooler! Awesome guy and great place to grab some good BBQ!! Thanks again we will be back!

Visited Fat Daddy's after passing by it for years. What a taste sensation. Our table ordered the ribs. They were tender and tasty. The sauce was spicy so order mild if you prefer. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The owner stopped by our table for a chat, (nice touch). He gave us samples of the brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was fantastic, however the pulled pork was not to my taste. Will definitely be back.
