LUIGI'S CAFE PIZZA & PASTA

We had a really great experience dining in this evening as a family of 4. The entire team was awesome, especially Jake. He was killing it….waiting tables, managing the counter and phones, knowing all the regulars orders by heart, serving people slices instead of just leaving the whole pie on the table, offering to go next store to grab a root beer for someone because they were out (even though they were slammed), all done with the most incredible manners, patience and a smile.
We often order take out from here but will be dining in more often.
The food was fresh, delicious, presented well and to top it off, the bill was only $58, which is nearly Impossible for a family of 4 at a sit down restaurant in Hockessin.

Such a great & pleasant first experience! This place reminded me today that good people & businesses (outside of chick-fil-a lol) still exist! The man we dealt with today was so kind & pleasant & to top that off, the food was excellent! I will definitely be ordering from Luigi’s again in the near future :) thanks for the great experience!

This is the BEST eggplant parm, broccoli rabe, and salad/pasta combo ever!! I am so happy to have found a great italian place in Delaware!! the owner was very kind and the staff was excellent. The food was very fresh, great quality, and he gives huge portions! highly recommend!

Love the Lasagna!! Everytime I go, I get lasagna or pizza, always excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly!! Best Italian food around!

I love, love, love Luigi's. Meals and Pizza are fantastic!!! And employees are The Best, always very welcoming. For GREAT truly authentic, made from scratch Italian food, you cannot beat Luigi's.

My new go-to pizza spot!! Brooklyn pizza was ?

This is truly a wonderful family restaurant. The pasta is the best, the sauce excellent, the quantities generous. So is the owner, a very nice, unpretentious funny guy who cares about his guests and what he feeds them. Everything on the menu looks scrumptious. Highly recommended.

APPRECIATION POST:All day today I have been having a craving for a delicious dish, but couldn't pin point what I wanted exactly. I looked through sooo many menus and nothing really appealed to me. Then I remembered Luigi's in Hockessin and quickly called them to see if they could make me a small portion of their shrimp penne Alfredo and boy was it delicious! An added bonus, the manager Jake was so friendly (and funny) accommodating all my requests. Soooo if you're looking to not cook tonight and want a fantastic meal, give Luigi's a try! (I'm not affiliated with them, just a carb loving fan here! ?)

Ok the good. Decently priced, cute quaint little place. Now the ehhh… Frozen Mozzarella Sticks that you could get at Walmart are my pet peeve when doing Italian, blasphemous!!! The cheeseburger sub was light with no seasoning, this is a reoccurring theme. Marinara was ok but needed salt. The stuffed cheesesteak pizza looked amazing & flavor wise was sooo close to being good, however a lack of seasoning (salt, pepper), minimal steak left me slightly disappointed. Boxes piled floor to ceiling, the dude touched my pizza raw handed after handling a guest check presenter was also not appealing either.

Kid-friendliness: Fine for kids, it is a tight space.

Stopped in for lunch, place was packed. Ordered plain cheese and it was delicious for the area. Can't go wrong here. Staff was great.

Finally! Great pizza near Kennett Square!!!! The owner has to be from New York because this is goooood pizza. I've gotten all types of pizza there, and it's all very good. Try grandma's pie. It actually tastes better than my grandma's pie. Don't get FOMO! Check it out!
