They need a leader here. I visit quite a few locations and this one almost always makes my drink wrong. I don’t order anything difficult, a Flat white with sugar free vanilla. That shouldn’t be hard to get right. The problem here is they are too busy socializing and having fun to listen or pay attention. $7 for a drink that doesn’t taste very good makes me want to stop coming here. If management is reading this please put someone at the drive up window who listens and get someone to lead your crew. It appears other reviewers agree.

The holiday season officially starts for my daughter and I every year on Red Cup Day with Starbucks!!! It’s been a tradition for quite a while and this location Exceeded all expectations today! Special shout out to Conor, Max and Bella for making us literally feel like family and delivered seamless customer service! When someone remembers my name, uses it and goes above and beyond to ensure ALL my needs are met, they deserve to be recognized! Keep it up gang and Happy Holidays!

I did some work here today on my laptop and I can say that the staff members working this afternoon were honestly great! The place was packed but they stayed positive and friendly and on-task. (Even though people were being rude & impatient) I was honestly impressed at how pleasant the atmosphere was no matter how hard the customers tried to ruin it lol

I am so happy! I recently heard about the viral TikTok strawberry matcha latte drink and decided to try it. (To order, it’s a pink drink with matcha cold foam) it’s so yummy and the cold foam tastes like matcha ice cream! I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese. Besides that, the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. The decorations are pretty modern, like just about every Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Service was fast and our server was super nice.

I visit the Hockessin location daily (I have been going for 8 years). Something seems to have changed. On busy days in the past, I've waited for my order and of course I absolutely understand the reason for the delay. The past few weeks, like I have done for years, I placed my order for pick up(roughly 10 minutes prior to me arriving) and I still wait another 15-20 minutes in the lobby. Today, I walked in and my hot tea and sandwich were done. I waited another 20 minutes for an iced coffee. The team didn't acknowledge me standing there, so finally I politely asked if they have a ticket for the coffee (they seemed annoyed). One barista started to explain that the area closest to the lobby was for the speciality drinks and my coffee would have been made elsewhere- I heard this same feedback to a different customer yesterday (while waiting for 1 iced coffee for nearly 25 minutes)... although that may be important to them, customers shouldn't/don't have to know how the "behind the scenes" operate.

All of this to say there must have been a change in recent weeks at this location. Customer service and service itself are key to success and recently it seems this group needs a bit of work!
