Awesome little tavern! The food was excellent, the staff was pleasant and very welcoming, and the service was on point. I've tried the Crab bisque, Crab cakes( lump meat with very little filler), fried flounder, pasta salad, and potato salad...nothing disappointed, everything was fresh and prepared nicely. I will definitely be returning soon. Overall, great little tavern with fresh seafood prepared perfectly.
I’ve visited this tavern twice and would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy hard shelled crabs and seafood. It isn’t a large tavern, so there can be a wait to be seated. Once you’re seated, you will enjoy the view of the water. You have to pay in cash since they don’t accept credit cards. Also, it is a tavern that sells alcoholic beverages so you must be over 21 to enter. There is ample parking. Since we found this out of the way tavern, we have made a point of traveling the back roads of Delaware on our way home from Bethany Beach so we can stop here and indulge ourselves with a heaping tray of hard shelled crabs.

Friends who live in the area took us to celebrate my wife's birthday. Fried clams and hush puppies were perfect starters before our 2 dozen number 1's. Crabs came right out of the steamer! Seasoning was great and crabs were all heavy with meat. Best I've had for awhile! And if that wasn't enough, staff was extremely friendly and service prompt. Beyond that, atmosphere was perfect place to relax, enjoy some great food, and spend time with friends.

I've been here several times with my wife, we love the water and good seafood, we get to enjoy both at Sambo's! My wife loves their crabs and fried green beans and I usually get a flounder sandwich and clam strips. The filet is always so big that I have half as a sandwich and have the other half on its own. I took my 96yo father there for the first time last week, he's an veteran of the navy and he loved being on the river watching all of the fishing boats. We watched as a boat came in and unloaded about a dozen bushels of crabs, he loved watching the boats come and go. The owner was kind enough to pull me aside and show me a ramp that we could use to exit since my dad uses a walker. They couldn't have been more kind to us and the servers are all so sweet! We'll be back soon, thank you Sambo's!

Had the rockfish sandwich and an order of onion rings. Everything was delicious and fairly priced, the server was very attentive and friendly and will definitely be coming back to sambo's.

I went to Sambos for my first time today. The owner is extremely nice as are his staff. They treated us extremely well and were very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a small, cozy seafood restaurant with terrifice views. The staff was terrific. I highly recommend this place. And the secret crab spice blows Old Bay out of the water. Thank you for the free sample to take home :)

Very disapointed
Service was good. Crab small,not very full and over priced for what we received. We usually give a place three tries before our final review. However we will not be going back.

I got 2 dozens crabs this weekend, the price was right and crabs was seasoned good and full. I will give them 10 out of 10 good job Sambo's!!!!!
