I used to eat here back in the early 80's when I was in the Air Force. Always came in for the crab cake sandwich or a plate of crabs. I miss coming here. Great place to eat. 👍

Went here for my birthday meal last week and loved it. As a non local we hadn't much experience with these crabs but our server was happy to help teach us. The seasoning they put on them here is perfect! And the crabs were a really good size and delicious.

To note: they are cash only, but they do have an ATM. They also check IDs at the door. Lots of big tables to accommodate larger groups.

Sambo's is a tavern so it is not going for Michelin stars. But the food is excellent and the wait staff helpful and pleasant. Was a reunion of college friends, and some shared a dozen crabs. We all had something different and good to eat. Walked in without a reservation but there was plenty of room for 7 and don't think we bothered the other patrons. Only down side is taking g ONLY CASH but we knew that ahead of time and it does help keep the cost down.

Menu is okay, crabs are coated with a heavy salt and not as good as chesapeake bay or chester river crabs. If you get a window seat, nice view of a channel of water midst the grassy meadow. A good destination, especially if on a motorcycle ! Scenic area and excellent touring area. Hit Bombay Hook while your at it ! 👍 👍

The water view is nice. Fishing boats. We did not have a reservation but they suggested reservations in the future. The food was ok. We had Rockfish platter with two tiny hush puppies, macaroni salad and fries and a crab cake sandwich. The crab cake lacked flavor as did the rockfish. We had steamed clams which were very good. Service was good. We had a nice server. Maybe if we came for crabs it would have been better. Live band on Monday was loud so we couldn’t engage in conversation. Menu was small. They have takeout and some folks we saw were taking out crabs in a paper brown bag from the bar area. They accept only cash. They have an ATM.
