My husband and I are Dover locals and have been here several times. The decor/atmosphere is quirky & dive-y and the views from the window are quite beautiful. We expect to pay high prices for good seafood. However, most recently we went and I ordered a “oyster po’ boy” and he ordered the fried garlic shrimp. The seafood in both dishes was delicious and fresh. The “po’ boy” arrived on a hot dog bun, and they do not have remoulade. It was $20 and does not include French fries or chips. I found the fact that it was served on a hot dog bun pretty insulting considering the price of the sandwich. My husband’s $25 shrimp dish included 6-8 (larger-ish) shrimp. Again, we know seafood is expensive and running a restaurant has many costs, but there are many other restaurants in the area that do it right (Po’ boys in Milton for example). My constructive criticism would be to fix your portion sizes and your menu and we will be happy to return.

Seafood is delicious. Steamed clams, potato salad and coleslaw excellent choice for me with celiacs. Crab cakes the best but not gf.
Friends that live in DE brought me here and it was my first time, but will not be the last! Delicious crabs and friendly service.

Service was a little slow, but that is to be expected today….yet the service was excellent!!! The food did come out promptly once our order was taken! I had the tuna steak sandwich rare with the homemade clam chowder and everything was finger licking good??
First time ever there and boy was it wonderful. Not too far from Felton and we will be back

First time here. It is a nice little place. We went with my elderly parents who both use a walker, although they didn't have a designated handicap access the staff were very kind and allowed us to go in through the kitchen because they had a ramp there. I loved the inside nothing really fancy but cute and you can see the water from most seats in the back section. The food was very good. My husband had the crab cakes delicious, my father had fried scallops again delicious. My mother and I had the crab imperial it was very good although I have never had cheese on my crab imperial and if I ever got it there again I would have the cheese left off. The hushpuppies, cole slaw and potato salad also very good. It was on the pricey side, but seafood usually is. I like that it was by the water and we could see the crab and fishing boats coming in. Many of the guest were eating the crabs so I'm guessing they must be pretty good. Our server Terrilynn was very attentive. Overall I enjoyed our experience there and would mostly like go again next year ?

We got away for a few days and decided to find some great fresh seafood along the Delaware Bay area in eastern DELAWARE. We stayed at a Marriott Fairfield in Dover, DE which was lousy. We did seek out a local crab shack for dinner and discovered Sambo's Tavern. What a wonderful find! Loved it. Fresh steamed Crabs, appetizers, clams, hot shrimp, clams, and cold draft beer. What more could possibly ask for? A pescatarian's dream comes true. Basic, picnic tables with newspaper covers, wooden mallets, and terrific helpful staff. Cooked to order with Old Bay seasoning. Warm melted butter and lots and lots of paper towels. Our intention is to return tomorrow for lunch. It was only 4 miles from the NASCAR Dover Speedway track. NASCAR Driver photo's all over the walls go back 40 years. Also quite close to Dover Air Force Base too. Quite busy at dinner time, we suggest a reservation.

Watched the crabs being brought in off the dock...so got crabs and crab cakes. It was a very good experience. Great cole slaw too. Cold Beer and shots of whiskey for after the meal. Celebrating 70 years in business. Very Cool Pllace.
