1861 Southern Kitchen Bourbon Bar

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had chicken and french toast which might sound unusual, but was delicious. The staff was very attentive and made sure that we had all that we needed. They also have a fantastic selection of Scotch and bourbon. I had the 1861 Manhattan which had a touch of brown sugar. It was awesome. I'll definitely be going back and have recommended the restaurant to other friends.

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary, but I failed to mention that on our reservation. Despite not knowing that we were celebrating, we were still treated extremely well. Alexa, our server, was so sweet, knowledgeable about the menu, and really did everything she could to ensure we had a lovely experience. The cocktails were deliciously crafted. The salmon and the short rib entrees were amazing, but the cornbread absolutely stole the show! I hope they take my idea about a cornbread sampler and invite us back to try it. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and fantastic atmosphere! We celebrated our anniversary here and had the best time. The entire staff was friendly, informative and attentive. I specifically chose this place because they had fried green tomatoes on the menu. I am from the south and have been craving them something fierce. This place did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes were perfect and the goat cheese and remoulade were the best addition to take them up a notch. I had the bees knees and the alchemist punch, at the recommendation of our server, both were an excellent balance of fruity and sweet. The hot honey salmon was delicious and had the best carrots I’ve ever had. The food was so good I couldn’t wait to eat my leftovers and had them for breakfast. So glad we found this cute little place and can’t wait to try more!

The atmosphere is ok . Don't do a group. The waiter said the printer was down ( Sat night with lots of customers) We went as a group and was told they can't separate the bill! YES YOU can.. even if it's on paper.
They would not take separate credit cards. For each person even if you could not separate the bill ( Having one bill ( credit card)is Very stressful. Trying to figure each person bill) Not going back !!!

As a business owner I say this with love…. The cornbread should be fresh and not burned ever. It seemed it was old and reheated. Also please be mindful to serve it warm. Chicken and waffles with just thighs is not ideal. I’ve been coming here for years and while cost has increased quality shouldn’t. The last visit wasn’t great at all with dinner. The food was just subpar.We decided to try again but this time is the same. Wishing this small business the best. Please please bring back the old quality cause it’s not the same.

I’m really disappointed to be updating this review. Two years ago, I gave this restaurant 5 stars, but today was a completely different experience. The place was a mess. The food came out cold and wasn’t what we ordered. We had to send our meals back twice. The brisket was extremely fatty and inedible, so that went back as well. In the end, I didn’t even eat dinner.

Customer service was just as bad. The waiter didn’t offer us menus until I had to ask to speak with a manager. The water even had a strange smell. Overall, the experience was horrible and very disappointing compared to how this place used to be.

Very much a hole in the wall retaurant/bar. Put in your reservations early!! Sydney the bartender was AMAZING!! She knew exactly what cocktail I'd prefer and was great to talk to throughout the night. Im definitely coming here for date night again. Loved this place❤️

Sunday brunch was exceptionally impressive. The French Toast my daughter ordered was decadent in the very best sense of the word while my Chicken and Waffles surpassed all expectations. Finally, my Bloody Mary had a nice kick to it. Definitely worth a return visit.

Shrimp & lobster pasta was mad cold & they just reheated it & it was still cold. Now I feel sick. Then they charged me a gratuity fee without notification. It was only a party of 2.
