I have gone to Casapullas for over 30 years, used to work for DuPont they delivered every week. When they came to Middletown i was excited, advised the owner after twice they made my order wrong. He apologized and gave free sandwiches, I didn't go for awhile, went back again they messed my sandwich up owner had given me his phone # when I told him again he was not interested in hearing about it, have not been there for maybe 2 or 3 years thought I'd try again lol..what was I thinking once again young people they were all having a good time, I get home and again my sandwich was not as I requested, I asked when I called order can you please chop up my steak, I have digestive problems the guy said yes we will, I was optimistic, I get home and the sandwich is not as I requested and advised it would be. Ok lesson learned i will not go back.

Friendly people making your food/ with that said I ordered a steak sandwich with fried onions. This is supposed to be the famous Casapullas? Should be called Steak-umms. These kids knew nothing about making a good steak or weren't told what to do- Good ingredients do help - Chop them onions and meat etc. Not sure about their subs but not going back to get a steak. Yuk!

Amazing place to go. Good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. It's a shame we don't have them in southern MD...

I decided to try Casapulla's in Middletown. I have had many really great steak sandwiches in the past, including Casapulla's in Elsmere, in the 70's. I ordered 2 large steak sandwiches w/ fried onions & ketchup on one . After the first bite, I wish I didn't. The onions were undercooked, with skins on them & at least 6 inches long. So, when you bit your sandwich, they pulled out like strings. The cheese was overbearing & not melted. It had ‘Steakum' type meat , that wasn't chopped up like normal steak sandwiches. If you've never had a really good steak sandwich or are starving, you might like it. If this Casapulla's is trying to carry on the legacy, it definitely wasn't with these sandwiches.
