The food was subpar… Typical for most chains. The chicken taco was good but We also ordered ground beef tacos… The texture of the ground beef was odd… It was so finally grounded. My husband stated it was like eating sawdust. I laughed and agreed with him on that one. We were seated by the bar, so yes, it was noisy. Server was a bit slow, actually more than a bit to get back to us to take our order.

Used to love this place, but unfortunately it has drastically went down hill in my opinion. The food, drinks and atmosphere have dramatically declined in the last few months. Now mind you, I have enjoyed El Azteca since it only had the one location in Dover. I was over the moon when they were growing and expanding to more locations, which we have enjoyed with big and small parties at multiple locations. However in the last few months we have had multiple not great experiences due to the quality, which makes me question if I should even try it again.

Excellent place for family dining in Middletown Delaware. They have changed the name to Blue …… (I don’t remember the last name). The service personnel are friendly and quick. Food is very tasty and good size portions. I have gone several times there with family

We went to Blue Mezcal yesterday and had a wonderful experience. First our server Josue was warm, friendly and attentive. The food was great. We had choriqueso to start with warm tortilla chips. Our entrees came out quickly and were yummy. The shrimp and scallop fajitas were great as well as our other entrees. We ended dinner with flan and volcan. All for less than $100 including two drinks for three people. This is our new go to restaurant.

Great drinks, atmosphere, service, and food. Drinks are beautiful and delicious. They have so many flavors of margaritas, frozen and rocks! Excellent happy hour menu that ends at 5pm which helps cut down on drink prices so definitely go for an early dinner if you are getting a view drinks! Loved the staff and beautiful interior. Food was delicious

Always a great experience. Nelson is an excellent bartender but you won't just find him at the bar. Nelson walks around the building cleaning up and talking to the customers. It's a very inviting atmosphere, amazing food, and wonderful employees. Absolutely love coming here every week. I've never had a bad experience!

I am a regular customer at this establishment and typically order the same dish, which has always been prepared consistently—until today. Unfortunately, my order was not made to the usual standard. While the waitress acknowledged the mistake and asked if I wanted a 2oz or 4oz portion of queso as a resolution, I explicitly requested 2oz. However, she brought out 4oz instead. Initially, I assumed this was a goodwill gesture to compensate for the inconvenience, but I later discovered I was charged for the larger portion. This lack of transparency and disregard for my request was frustrating and reflects poorly on the restaurant’s customer service.

Additionally, I observed a concerning seating arrangement where Black patrons were consistently placed in the back, while White and Latino customers were seated in the front. In 2025, such segregation—whether intentional or not—is unacceptable. Given the current social climate, businesses should be more mindful of inclusivity and equitable treatment of all paying customers.

Due to these issues, I will no longer be dining here. A restaurant should uphold consistency, honesty, and fairness, and this experience fell short on all fronts.

Our first time eating here. It is under the new name Blue Mezcal. The service was fantastic as was the food. Loved the atmosphere with the music playing over the speaking but not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation.

I've been to this restaurant several times, and this location is truly the best. When we arrived, I had no idea they changed the name of the place. It is now called Blue Mezcal. The food was fantastic! My partner and I shared a seafood platter, and the seafood was succulent and flavored to perfection. I've never had lobster or scallops that were prepared so perfectly. We left no crumbs and didn't even have leftovers. We also enjoyed a frozen margarita flight, and it was so good. Each flavor had a different vibe, but it was the perfect drink assortment to get those taste buds going. It wasn't too busy when we went, even though it was a Saturday evening. Our server was pretty good, always occasionally checking on us but not overwhelming the table. I can say I enjoyed my experience to the fullest, and I would definitely recommend it.
