This used to be our first choice for a special night out for delicious seafood. It almost seemed like they must have lost their kitchen staff. My husband had broiled flounder stuffed with crab on this visit, the flounder was noticeably reduced, the crab tasted like someone opened a can of crab meat and forgot how to season and broil this dinner. The once delicious vegetable of the day was now over cooked, soggy broccoli. I also had the stuffed flounder with crab with roasted potatoes. They were heavy handed with risemary and not the red potatoes of before.The only dessert offered was ice cream. We enjoyed the carrot cake that once was on the menu. The once upon a time
pitcher of draft beer is no longer. This establishments previous meal prep and attention to detail has vanished as well as our future patronage.

We came to gus's for the band The website never posted the band cancelled. The food was ok , we are not crab people. Would not have come if I knew the band was cancelled. Update the website would be great

I purchased a dozen number 1 males crabs tonight on 6/7/25 at 630pm and they were so mushy they were inedible it wasn’t even possible to pick the meat it just became mush on your finger tips. I was told that means the crabs were dead when they were cooked either way I spent 55 dollars on a dozen crabs that were 100% inedible and had to be thrown out very disappointing because they were big beautiful looking crabs but the meat was horrible.

Very friendly staff. When we went, it was just opening on Saturday. Live music outside was canceled for the day. The snow crab and blue crab were done right. The corn on the cob is amazing.

Bought crabs today. Requested twos but was told they did not have them. Paid extra for ones which were really twos. Rip off!

Gus's has good food and very good bands. When eating dinner and enjoying the music the wait staff could come around a little more often. As I said the bands are very good so the music is great, but in most cases, it is too loud (ears ring for hours after leaving). Everyone in our group and others I've talked to agree.

the food is excellent and the portions are big. I ordered surf and turf and sea scallops. we definitely will be back !! Kristen and the noise was pretty awesome also!!!
Crabs were cooked ahead of time, taken out of refrigerator and re-heated. They were flavor-less and extremely over-priced. Kelly's Tavern is less than 1 mile away and have the best crabs in Delaware at a much more reasonable price.

We go often, and it’s always fun.
Crabs are some of the best around.
The menu isn’t huge, which allows them to really take the time to do things right.
Cold beer, delicious food, great people, and the best bands……..Gus’s is the place to be.
Family owned and operated….Gus and Micki are part of the community.
Call for a reservation, trust me, you’ll need it most nights.

Gus's crab shack is one of the best places to visit in Delaware, I'm from MD and it's hard to find a great place to get crabs done right ! Gus's crabs make this marylander happy! lol and the food and drink menues have lots of variety from burgers to steaks!, the staff there are really attentive and if you love live music it's the place to be from the Amish Outlaws to some of the best tribute bands around! I highly recommend this place if your looking for a fun day out!
