This past weekend we ordered the jerk chicken with peas & rice, plantains, cabbage, mac & cheese, fried wings, and coco bread. Though a bit pricey, we were pleased with what we received! The only two points of criticism we have are the jerk chicken could be spicier and the coco bread a bit fresher, but overall, the food was great, and we were very satisfied with the portions.I'll emphasize again that the price the wings are marked at for example is a bit high, but admittedly they were the largest wings we've ever had, and they were cooked to perfection. The cabbage was also delicious and flavorful. We'll be returning to eat again, but only when I have the extra cash.

The lovely dining room was empty but a private party was in process on the other side of the restaurant. We were celebrating my 75th birthday and enjoyed the cuisine in the past by takeout. This was our first time dining in the restaurant. My wife loved the Oxtails and I loved the curry Chicken. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was responsive to our requests. I would dine there again.
Fake Jamaican food. Save your money. This is the worst tasting Jamaican food. It taste old. High prices, poor quality. Cooks and owner don't care.Vegetarian options: Salad, but they prepare the salad where they prepare raw meat.

I ordered Brown Stewed Chicken, Rice, and Cabbage (Large). It was pretty good. Idk why people are saying they are expensive. I feel like you spend about $20 at McDonalds right now for a meal anyway. This is a nice size restaurant where your family can go sit down and have drinks for dinner. Better than the one on Main Street in my opinion. I will go back with my family to try other items.

I wanted to like this place. It is newer, and the space is lovely. However, the food was pricy for what I got. I ordered an oxtail platter, a beef patty, and a drink for $40.00. The rice and peas were 8/10, the cabbage 7/10, the beef pattie 6/10, and the oxtails were 4/10 because they were really dry (no gravy) and primarily fat. The flavor was okay but was missing something. I would recommend going to this place and give them a try as everyone has different taste buds. But know that the portion sizes are on the smaller side so be prepared to spend a few extra coins to get extra sides.

The food and atmosphere were good, but beware of Local Flavor "bait and switch." Went to the Jamaican Cafe in Middletown, and everything was fine until I tried to use a Local Flavor coupon and was told by the manager that they do not accept the voucher. After speaking with the manager, he offered to take 20% off, but this does not make up for the bad taste that the situation left in my mouth.
