Naz's Halal Food - Middletown

All ways a good experience!

Stopped by after work tonight since they were one of the only restaurants open late. So good! My lamb gyro was done so fast and it's definitely the best I've had. Reasonably priced, fast and friendly service, with huge heaping portions.

I don't know who writes these reviews, but the food is awful.. only reason I gave 1* is because the hummus was just OK

The staff here are always kind and professional. The food comes out exactly when they say it will.

I tried every meat dish they had on the menu and it was all tasty. Both types of chicken were my 2 favorite, which was unexpected. The lamb is good and it is cut in chunks. The gyro was stuffed and delicious. Both the white sauce and red sauce were so good that I'm wondering if I can buy it in a large amount. The hummus was the best hummus I've ever had, although I'm not a hummus expert. The only thing I would not buy again is the falafel. It was my first time ever trying it and I could not deal with the floral flavor.

All in all I was pleasantly surprised by this place and will definitely be back

Rather than typical fast food, we chose something different and discovered Naz' Halal. It's located in a modern strip-mall on the southern end of Middletown. The interior is simply designed more for take out orders than dining in. We chose the latter and noticed a steady stream of picked up orders while eating our meal. My wife and I share a platter of marinated chicken in middle-eastern seasoning, lettuce & cucumbers bits along with rice. Sauces were given on the side. The white was very mild and tasty (their tzatziki and added a lot to the success of the platter. The price is very reasonable, especially since sharing half of it turned out to be a filling meal.

The food here is overpriced, using the "halal" label as a marketing gimmick to justify high prices. They serve a disproportionate amount of rice compared to the meat, and the burger is disappointingly thin, yet they charge a premium for it being "halal."

I won't be recommending this place or returning until they improve their food portions and meat-to-rice ratios. Using the halal label to provide inadequate portions is simply unfair to customers.

Food is too salt, tasty but too salty. Do not put on your health food list of places to visit. When I visited they were short staffed and it took a long between ordering and receiving your food. Appears to be a new store and they're still working to get everything in order. Maybe I'll give them a second try at a later date.

The food is delicious and decent portions and prices.
I can't help but notice that the worker used the same gloves to handle the cash and the register as they handled the food with afterwards. They did not appear to change gloves.

My coworker and I always order the chicken gyro with white sauce, and the lamb gyro with green sauce. The fries are great. The food is always ready quickly and always tasty.

First time I had sometime ago, it was good but now didn’t like it as it was 95% rice, meat/Chiken was nigligible not going back

I felt cheated for double meet Chapli kebab platter for $18. Meat had distinct odor and hardly any rice and salad. Skimpy Naz.

I had a chance to try Naz’s Halal for the first time. Man, I'm so glad I did.

This place has food good enough for a special visit. - so much in the area is just MID and only ok. This is above the bar.

I tried the rice combo with chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find crunchy cucumber and lettuce hiding down there below the rice.

The sauce was delicious. White sauce is the way to go - but get a small cup of hot (red) and take it up a notch according to your taste. The owner operator was surprised I was interested in the hot stuff - it makes it in my opinion.

Dessert was delicious and fresh. The order was ready in a hot second and the conversation was pleasant, friendly and genuine. Thank you for my lunch. Plenty of parking and a robust menu.

Can't wait to try something else soon.
