Natural Nest Play Cafe- Middletown

I hate to write a negative review, but I have tried to reach the owner twice by leaving voicemails & have not received a call back. I took my son there for the first time recently where he was hurt. We were the ONLY people in there & my son started screaming crying, I was consoling him as best I could & not once did the young woman who was working turn around to see if everything was okay. My son IMMEDIATELY ended up with a huge knot on his head so I asked the woman if she had ice for me (to help the swelling) & I asked for a paper towel (to wipe his nose & tears) & she moved as slow as molasses. I had to politely ask her if she could please hurry with the paper towels & she then asked “yeah, oh did something happen to him?” -__- & I told her yes… I’m not sure how she did not catch on to that, again as we are the ONLY people in there, it’s a small and quiet place. After moving very slowly with no sense of urgency, she finallt gave me some ice wrapped in a paper towel (guess they didn’t have ice packs?) & some paper towels. I finally got my son to settle down & decided to leave to care for him further. As we are leaving, I said goodbye to her & she just says goodbye have a good day…no “is he okay, how did it happen, do you need anything else?” NOTHING… I am very disappointed, especially as a children’s establishment that they had such lack of care & concern. We will not be coming back here.

We celebrated our little one’s first birthday here! We had the peacock party package and it was absolutely worth it. The theme was on point and handled with care, down to the last detail. It was absolutely a wonderful and fun time for all! I would highly recommended this place for your next party! We also love coming for “public play.” The premise of this play place is so perfect, there really aren’t that many places for getting out of the house with your little one. We love the Nest!

I went today for the first time. It was very clean. The young lady (Janiyah) working was very friendly. My son is 4 and he really enjoyed it. Will come again!

Our family recently visited the Middletown location for a 4th birthday party and we had a blast! They allowed my friend to set up all of her own adorable decorations in the party room and the entire play area was a hit with our 3 year old! Even our big kids (13,14) enjoyed reviving their imaginations for a play with the little ones.

This place was awesome! My child had a blast! Awesome indoor Playground for toddlers I would say! Especially with these hot summer days! $22 for a 2 hour session with 2 adults and 1 child. I'm sorry, but that's cheap for a nice cool day in the summer with a child! I'm so happy I found this place on Google Maps and will be a happy return customer! Great first experience no issues.

This space is terrible do not take your children here. The employees was very rude they was extremely late decorating. It was leftover trash and food from the people before us very unsanitary. The owner was very rude when I spoke to her about all this. Don’t waste your money or time even going to this place. I wish I could’ve gave this place zero ⭐️

I’ve now had two birthday parties here-and I probably will continue to have all future birthday parties here! I drive all the way from Dover since this location is bigger (although I haven’t seen the new upgrade!), and it is well worth it.

The space is wonderful, extremely clean and everything is sanitized, and staff have been wonderful. You can’t beat the Sunday Birthday party price and I hope it never changes, so affordable!

The second birthday party I held for my 2 year old-back in April, I arrived and staff were still cleaning up from a previous event. I was stressed and panicking since we only have 30 minutes to set up-but the staff members were so kind and apologetic. One of the younger girls even asked if there was anything she could do to help, unforeseen circumstances happen and they handled it perfect.

I do wish the child limit for the parties was a tad bigger, but that’s only because I always invite too many kids ?. Hey, more kids and families that attend, that’s essentially more free advertising through experience ??‍♀️?.

I applaud this business. The owner is so kind that she was even able to sponsor a local family in the community who is struggling. Can’t wait to visit again and have more great experiences here!

We had an amazing experience here with our family! We are new to the area and it was nice to find a clean and safe space for the kids! We 100% recommend!

I attended my newphews birthday here 6/2024 this past weekend. The staff was very unprofessional. They were still decorating room as guests arrived it was extremely unacceptable And had their children assisting them who were not dressed appropriately! Another staff member had a crying baby in the play area upon our arrival.

It was evident that this party was not important to them as it was a rushed job. The decorations started to fall down. The inflatable animals kept deflating when they could have easily went to a party store or walmart to replace it. A custom sign that was purchased was no where to be found, There was no evidence of a themed activity. The staff was incompetent in orchestrating a party game and gathering the children together. This was the worst experience we have ever had and I would not recommend this business. The owner stated that they were understaffed and if so they should have arrived 2 or more hours ahead to ensure that it was taken care of when people have paid for a party! They did not make our experience enjoyable at all and did not make an effort to make sure that this party was up to standard.
They need to take time to properly train staff, replace inflatables when they are no longer working properly, buy decorations, and make sure the rugs and play items are clean before guest arrive. Nest is a nice place but they have to get organized and invest in the things that matter! Please think twice before booking with this business

Nest play Cafe is the perfect place to bring your little ones. Most of the toys are Montessori toys and the whole space is very safe. There was a lot for my little one to do and they were wiped out after just a 2 hour play session. We will definitely visit again!

I recently visited Natural Nest Cafe during its advertised hours of operation on Thursdays and Fridays, from 8 AM to 4 PM. However, upon arriving at 1:45 PM, I found the store dark, doors locked, and no visible activity inside. Despite attempting to call several times, there was no answer.Having managed businesses for family members, I understand that unforeseen circumstances can lead to closures or early closure for various reasons. However, upon checking their social media pages for any communication about an early closure, I found none.In an attempt to gather more information, I called their Dover location, where the person who answered provided minimal information. They mentioned that if there were no reservations past 2 PM, they may close early, despite my arrival at 1:45 PM.This experience highlights a lack of respect for both the company's stated hours of operation and its customers. Their website clearly states: 'Reservations are encouraged but not required for our 2-hour blocks of open play.' and 'We offer Open Play, Classes and Event reservations online to ensure you have a spot to play as we have limited play capacity. Drop in is offered on an as available basis only. Please call ahead.' Their website clearly states that reservations are encouraged but not required for open play, and drop-ins are accepted based on availability.After reading other reviews mentioning other inconsistencies, and considering the significant distance I traveled (nearly 30 minutes) to visit their party space, I'm disappointed and unwilling to invest further time in visiting this establishment. It's worth noting that I solely intended to see the party space before blindly booking online and had no interest of play time during this visit. I could only imagine the further disappointment if I had children eager to play with me.

I had my sons 2nd birthday here! My number one reason for choosing Nest Play was because I was 38 weeks pregnant and their packages offered set up, clean up and everything in-between. I picked “construction” theme off their list of offered ones (which there was a great variety of pre-picked themes) and it was adorable! Just enough for a 2-year old in love with all things excavators, skid steers and backhoes! I had 7 kids in the party under the age of 5 and they even let my 9 and almost 11 year old enjoy the play area (who may have had more fun than the 2-year old)! The ladies were sooo friendly and helpful and go-with-the-flow! As a mom who usually stresses and overthinks her parties, it was worth EVERY PENNY of the Nestling Party Package to just show up stress-free and celebrate our boy! I will for sure be watching the events/classes they hold in the summer and will be back many more times!

Such a cute place for littles to play and explore! This was our first time here and my children, ages 2, 7, and 9 loved it! It was the perfect rainy morning activity. The older two just came to play with their little brother but they still had a good time. The reservation process was seamless and easy and the environment is laid back. It looks like they took someone’s suggestion and added some music for the background ambience so that was a nice touch. We will definitely be back!

Terrible business practices. My granddaughters 2 year old birthday party was double booked. We have emails stating the time. Instead of having us share space they made us leave. We had to reroute 15 adults and 6 two year olds to another place. So disappointing and very emotional to say the least. We paid $200 and they would not reimburse our funds. Party planners move on!

Great place to take your little ones for a party or just to play! Great staff. Very accommodating.
