We arrived just after 9:30 PM on a weekend evening, eager to enjoy the restaurant’s four-course tasting menu. Unfortunately, our late arrival meant the kitchen was no longer offering that option—a bit of a letdown given the empty dining room and the fact that the only available reservation slots online were all after 9:30. The hostess—who doubled as bartender—politely explained the cutoff, and although we were disappointed, we understood the need to wrap up the evening menu on schedule. With only a few tables still occupied in the dining room, we opted to settle at the bar to avoid holding anyone up.
The restaurant’s own branded spirits are displayed behind the counter. While they don’t pour many mainstream liquors, the selection of local beers and an interesting roster of domestic and imported wines provided plenty of alternatives.
For our meal, we decided to share the buffalo-tempura shrimp as an appetizer and the house-style fondue as our entrée. The shrimp arrived perfectly crispy, though we found the buffalo seasoning to be somewhat muted—craving a bit more heat and tang. In contrast, the silky broth fondue was a revelation: rich, deeply savory, and bursting with herbal aromatics that paired beautifully with chicken, steak, shrimp and vegetables. It was comforting and indulgent—just the sort of dish that makes a humble night out feel special, even without a four-course progression.
Our bartender was cordial and attentive, but on a nearly deserted night, you could tell she was juggling several responsibilities—taking drink orders, seating latecomers, and even covering a small table in the back. As a result, service was a little slow at times. By the time we finished, we agreed that it was well worth the short drive—no need to venture all the way to Wilmington when such thoughtful cooking and a warm atmosphere await closer to home.
All told, we enjoyed our improvised bar-side dinner and left with full bellies and satisfied smiles. Next time, we’ll aim to arrive a bit earlier—ideally before the 9:30 PM cutoff—so we can indulge in the full four-course experience.
Ducked in here when it started pouring at the Bud & Bug Festival and I’m so glad we did. We order tapas off the happy hour menu and it was PHENOMENAL!!! Will definitely be going back to try the actual fondue and so should you.
$140 plus tip ($120 for meal) very small portions ( 6 shrimp for 2 people) You are paying for a different experience, but in my opinion, it's a rip-off... It's made for women who wanna do something (cute).... It wasn't even that good, and to be honest, I was pissed and I'll never go again.
I had high expectations based on their higher price points. The Vermont Cheddar fondue was lacking flavor and the bread/veggie spread was small. I also felt like the breads were on the drier side. The meats were okay, but lacked flavor as they're just boiled in a broth. I enjoyed my sangria and the dessert fondue but not enough to want to come back or recommend to friends.
Amazing experience! Everything was delicious! Incredible drinks. Top notch service!!!
I went with a party of 4 for the St Patrick's pub crawl. What an awesome experience. Our server, Ella, was friendly, very kind and professional. She made us feel very much at home. We met Chef John who accommodated my wife's allergies. The food was delicious. It was a very enjoyable experience. We plan on going back.
We did the Milford St. Paddy's pub crawl tonight and ended with Fondue restaurant. What a great experience from our bubbly, fun server, Ella, to the head chief John. Both were experienced and made our visit very memorable. We will be back for a full dinner and more of the very awesome cocktails.
went there on 2/15. our server Sarah was amazing! she did a good job with her recommendations and watching our table. the drinks were good, though I preferred the classic cocktails over the Valentines drinks. I'm glad we added on the salmon. pricey but so worth it.
I highly recommend Fondue and applaud them not only on their food but the incredible staff they have working there. My boyfriend and I have been on a couple of occasions for date night but have never taken the kids. I was super excited to see the Brunch with the Grinch and immediately made reservations. The advertising was not the greatest for the event and some things were not clearly communicated in regards to event and child costs with ages being posted. Upon finding this out, the general manager, Dalton, immediately rectified the situation. He admitted there were some things they could do better and fixed things immediately for us. He definitely made us feel like valued customers and we will always be a fan of Fondue. They are an amazing place that is local and will always have my vote!!
My sister and I had an amazing fondue experience. Gage our server was attentive and fun. Highly recommend!!

This was our first time here and my husbands first time ever with doing fondue. My husband said he was “impressed”. That is very rare that happens. Will definitely be back! Thank you for the great Anniversary experience!

Gage was the best waiter ever. Loved the food and experience
We had a gift card so we thought it would be a fun date night. Thank goodness for the gift card because I would have been very upset to spend that much money on the food we received. The service was good but lots of misses (late drinks, food not warming, asked for plates and didn’t get them).
We started with Tapas. Pretzel encrusted chicken skewers, hummus and pretzel with beer cheese dip. All were amazing so we were pumped for the fondue experience.
We wanted two different fondue cheeses but we were told you may only have one item on the burner at a time. That was disappointing. We determined the smart thing was the Four Course menu for $42 per person. We started with Vermont cheese with items to dip. At the same time our Caesar salads arrived. Then we had to wait for the main dish, the meats. We eat got bits of raw steak and 3 shrimp. The server placed the chicken with veggies in the pot to cook first. To cook the meat, you are literally boiling all of it. We chose Steakhouse which essentially was beef broth. Dessert was the most disappointing. Beautiful melted chocolate served with Little Debbie desserts (several stale) cut in half, marshmallows, stale pretzels and strawberry quarters. Nothing homemade.
If you go for dinner order from the Tapas menu at the Fondue restaurant.
Parking: Across the street from the restaurant is a large city parking lot. There was also plenty of room on the street.

Showed up excited for a fun night at the haunted dining experience. The atmosphere was great, but after waiting an hour to get a drink and appetizers, it seemed that all the "scare actors" had disappeared and went home for the rest of our time there.
It then took another half hour for them to take our order for cheese (which proceeded to take another half hour to come out). We were told to wait for the server to heat up the cheese for us, but we ended up mixing it ourselves after waiting another 15 min.
At this point, we weren't sure if we wanted to order more but decided to get some chocolate. It then took another 20-30 mins to get the chocolate.
We ended up spending 3 hours here for appetizers, cheese, and chocolate, most of it spent waiting for uncooked food.
Overall, the food we got was not worth the wait. If you're looking for a better fondue experience, look towards The Melting Pot.
