I ordered a half dozen bagels , they all were great, except the blueberry bagels.. they had practically no blueberries in them.. it looked like specs of blueberries was in these bagels.. it didn’t even taste like a blueberry bagel… you would think that a bagel shop like this will be using fresh big blueberries in their blueberry bagels.. this is not the case.. I’ve had better blueberry bagels from the grocery store..(Redners)..
It's Surf Bagel, I dare you to find a better Bagel place in DE. The bagels are made fresh every day, they make sandwiches with them (my personal favorite is an egg and turkey on an egg everything bagel) and you can buy bagels just to take home. It's a staple in weekend breakfasts in my household. Also the service is always friendly there, I have yet to meet an unpleasant person here and I seriously doubt I will.
This was our first visit to this location as I usually visit the location in Lewes, DE. It was not a good first impression. This location does look amazing, both inside and out. We had driven 20 min specifically for the Blue Hen, a bagel sandwich made with an Old Bay bagel. It was 12:45 pm and they were already out of Old Bay bagels.
