My food was horrible. I eat here all the time, but today I was very disappointed. On door dash for the 1pc catfish it says to choose 3 sides, which I did. I was unsure of how that worked. Instead of someone calling me to inform me that I could only get two sides, they chose the sides for me out of the ones I picked. It should really be updated so that people are aware that you can only get two sides. The catfish was so salty, soggy, cold and it had a weird taste. The mac and cheese had no taste at all and was cold. The pasta salad had some weird seasoning in it. I couldn't eat any of the food. I wasted my money. I tried to call but the number listed in the email is incorrect and doesn't have the correct amount of numbers. I find the number online and couldn't reach anyone. I will not be eating from here anymore. Absolute disappointment.

The Mac n cheese had too much pepper and needed some tweaks as other comments said . I got the soul food egg rolls . They was soggy ? the chicken inside was good the taste wasn’t bad but an egg roll is supposed to be crispy on the outside . I saw they had banana pudding and was skeptical but when I saw they had strawberry I was like oh this must be real banana pudding. Heck no it’s basically Chinese store banana pudding with a splash of strawberry syrup and 3 wafers for 4.00 . Definitely disappointed but I’m happy for any black person with a business

The food is pretty solid. I enjoy their fried Whiting. Also, staff is friendly, but the service is little to be desired. It just seems like everyone is running around doing everything but putting food in bags. It just seems very unorganized.

I had gotten a big order from DoorDash for both me and my son who is one and let’s just say Aunt Bertha did her big one the banana pudding cheesecake, yams was jamming, Mac was so perfect, had my first salmon cake only mistake I made was not buying all of them the ribs was good and my son ate both his drums he ate all his mac and yams then was in my plate definitely will be getting many more orders

So me & my boyfriend wanted to try something new & ate at aunt bertha. When we called the lady on the phone sounded like she hated her job that day. He loved his food he had cat fish string beans & mac the string beans taste straight out the can no season . & i had chicken mac and yams which was okay until i got food poisoning from my meal. Oh and i had the sweet tea that taste like kool aid & tea. So unfortunately aunt bertha i will not be returning.
This place is unreal, very friendly, helpful very professional the whole staff was. The Atmosphere is inviting you to come & sit & eat with us.The food is out of this world. I had the fried ck platter sides corn & cabbage.The cabbage just melts in ur mouth with wonderful flavors. The fried ck has a little crunch to it but the flavors in the ck & the juice of the ck all i have to say is WOW.My husband had almost the same things but he had yams & collar Greens. To die for.They also have desserts & juice's if u did not soda. This my review but my husband want's to add something also.The even had a special order for a vegetarian customer & they let her see how it was prepared.If u are ever around the airport new castle dupont Hwy plz do urself a favor go eat at AUNT BERTA'S KITCHEN.you will be glad you did.
