Its worth coming here for the atmosphere. The serve is also so so. The food is usually pretty good even though its not a huge menu. Highly recommend going here just for the experience!

You go there for the beer (and the VARIETY) and the Ice Cream!!

The food is good, just not what I go for.
This place has beers from all over the world that I have not seen elsewhere being served.

Dinner in a real honest to goodness colonial tavern!
The food was good. Prices not too bad, and the setting was perfect
I had the Braised London Broil in burgandy sauce with mashed potatoes and roasted squash

My wife had the crab cake sandwich which she enjoyed, along with the Sweet Potato fries which she raved about.

I originally wanted a sandwich too, but I don't like sweet potatoes and they have no regular fries

they had a huge menu, great cocktails, and the ambience definitely sent you back into colonial times. The table was set with an authentic candle, even though everything is made out of wood lol

Nice little tavern. Very cozy. The beer list is great for those that like craft, especially Belgium varieties. Service could have better. It took the waitress a bit too long to ask what we wanted to drink. Then 2 ladies (hostesses) at the front weren't friendly, but the bartender was. The food was fine but the pot roast? Small portion of beef and the meatloaf? Don't understand the Swedish bit. My husband is Swedish and didn't taste anything like the kind back in Scandinavia. All in all, 3 stars.

The beer experience was simply amazing, excellent job there. The bartender gets 5 stars! The food, not so much. My wife had the crab pot pie. She was very happy with it. I had the fish and chips. Pretty disappointing there. The fish was easily 3/4 breading. You really couldn't tell there was fish in there for all the breading. They really need to rethink that recipe.

Second time around was not the charm. Overall dining experience was disappointing at best. Traditional dishes like mussels and fish and chips in an established old world restaurant should not be a let down, but this was in many ways from the specialty cocktail that was not filled to capacity and lacked the appropriate garnish, followed by the half dead, tiny mussels swimming in oil, and as suggested on the menu, I ordered the frites, but it was still frozen. To add, the fish and chips resembled more of a cornbread platter and had only a hint of bland fish. Highlight: The chips were delish, but that doesn’t make up for the tired experience. We didn’t complain due to the Saturday night crowd in a small space - hopefully, someone takes this review to heart to ensure a better experience for others.
