I went to Krispy Kreme specifically for the Harry Potter doughnuts. I am not, typically a fan of their doughnuts and this was not much different - 2 winners and 3 losers. Here is a rundown:
- All the doughnuts had a fondant emblem identifying each Hogwarts house. They could have done better as the fondant was inedible.
- In my opinion, they should have had all the doughnuts as the filled type. For the money being paid each house should have been filled with something that represented a themed food from the movie. They took the easy way out with the ring doughnuts.
SORTING HAT - Meh! - loser: Basic filled doughnut with what, I believe, was just colored chocolate icing on the inside.
GRYFFINDOR - Delicious - WINNER: Basic filled doughnut with a yummy center that tastes, to me, like a nicely done Cookie Butter filling.
RAVENCLAW - Blah! - Loser: Basic ring doughnut with a glaze of artificial tasting Blueberry icing. Nothing special & not worth the money.
HUFFLEPUFF - Yummy - WINNER: Basic filled doughnut with a Butterscotchy filling reminiscent of a Butter Beer flavoring. So good and right on theme.
SLYTHERIN - Ugh! - Loser: Basic ring doughnut with a swirl of flavorless green icing & some type of very thinly layered cookie crumble. Completely lacking taste and, again, not worth the money.
GOLDEN SNITCH LATTE: Caramel & Toffee flavored - Nothing special. Tasted ok but I wouldn't go out if my way for it.

The staff was AMAZING! they were kind, joyful & having fun interacting with customers. I may not be a fan of the doughnuts but the staff made the shop a worthwhile stop.

Stopped here before headed home. Plenty of parking in the lot. This location has a drive-through. The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean inside with plenty of seating. Donuts were great. We got there a little late so not much of a variety.

Need to update store times, me and two others showed up with a sign saying closed. It's 6pm on a Tuesday where on Google it says they're currently open.

Terrible service. My husband went to pick up an order and he was intentionally ignored. Once they did acknowledge him, they acted extremely annoyed. They then said they refunded the order because they were sold out, but that wasn’t true either. Also, how can you take an advanced order and not reserve the items for the customer?? Absolutely terrible. Our first and last time at Krispy Kreme!

I placed my order at 8:30 AM for two dozen of the new Harry Potter doughnuts, with a scheduled pick-up time of 2:30 PM. At 11:00 AM, I received a phone call from the manager letting me know that my order was canceled because the doughnuts were already sold out.
However, my credit card was still charged, which is completely unacceptable.

The manager also told me that they serve customers on a “first come, first served” basis. If that’s the policy, why does the system allow customers to place and pay for an online order as early as 8:30 AM?
And if the doughnuts were already sold out, why didn’t they call me immediately, instead of waiting almost two and a half hours?

To make matters worse, when I tried to order a different flavor (the Sorting Hat doughnut) at 8:30 AM, the system clearly stated it was sold out and did not allow me to add it to my cart — which means the system can block unavailable items.
So why did it allow me to purchase the other Harry Potter doughnuts and take my payment, only to cancel the order later?

This happened at the Krispy Kreme in New Castle, Delaware, and I find it inconceivable that a company would accept an early online order, charge the customer, and then decide hours later not to fulfill it.

I expect a full refund to my credit card immediately.
This experience shows a complete lack of consistency, customer service, and logic.

This place doesn't get enough credit regarding the staff and the service and how hard they work. It was a little dirty when I walked in there but then again it was the middle of the day. Surprisingly the bathroom was clean. But the donuts were fire and this place never disappoints. I wish they would put one in the Newark area so I don't have to drive all the way over to New Castle

One employee's hand is extremely filthy; he is not wearing gloves, and his service is appalling. Both self-cleaning and service need to be improved.

They were going through it. But minimum wage = minimum effort. The donuts are still good and staff was mildly pleasant.

Waited 10 minutes at the drive-through window for two small iced coffees and three glazed donuts. Pulled onto the highway and realized the coffees had about 40 pounds of liquid sugar in them and the donuts were at least two days old. Threw all of it out the window will never be back.
