I've only been here for 9 ball tri annuals and it was packed so obviously the service was gonna be slower I get that. Just not enough room for that many people in my opinion. 2 people from a team could sit down everyone else was standing and it was shoulder to shoulder. Nice diamond tables at $1.50 a game parking also sucked. On a regular night I'm sure this place is fine.

The pool tables are new and in good condition. Food is offered but not really advertised and the prices are too expensive for the quality. The music is often really loud and distracts you when you're trying to shoot (pool). Getting the bartender(s) attention can be difficult, but they are friendly and attentive when they serve you. The exterior of the place is really uninviting; the building is old and run down, not much in the way of parking. There's a small lot next to the building and the rest is unpaved gravel behind the bar. The lighting in the back is non-existent, so I always feel unsafe parking there. Overall pool tables are a 5, service is a 3, and the ambience is a 1. If not for the pool scene, I would never come here of my own volition.

We’re trying to find a place close-by to play pool. We stopped in Pockets on a whim. It’s a Very nice place, it has many pool tables and its very clean. Friendly staff, we had a good time; we’ll be back :)

They refused to give tap water for free. Pretty sure that's illegal for an establishment licensed to serve alcohol. I'm not paying for a water bottle after I just spent $8.75 on a SINGLE alcoholic beverage. Water is what helps people sober up and keep guests safe. If I go there and get refused tap water again I'll be making an official report with the State. Train your staff better or hire people more qualified. There's laws for a reason
While the bartender and the pool tables are nice, the management is greedy, money hungry, and have implemented BS rules that don't make any sense.Why should a team shooting league have to pay an extra dollar on league nights to shoot pool there? The drinks are over priced, they charge a fee for using a credit or debit card, they don't allow you to use your card for tips. Tips must be paid in cash only. I'm not sure how that isn't hurting the bartenders because, let's face it, who carries cash on them anymore?When breaking on the pool tables, you are required to place a felt square under the cue ball which interferes with the performance of the cue ball when breaking....additionally, what is the difference between breaking and making a hard shot during a game?There's also a rumor that hand chalk is frowned upon, which is ridiculous as people have been using hand chalk for ages.

Bartender had a very rude demeanor. Started a tab, when finished said I would pay cash. When I got my card back she kept looking at me to pay before I even sipped my second drink I just ordered. I had exact change but not enough for a tip. So I asked her to break a 100 and she seemed to have a problem with that also, not realizing I was doing so for her benefit.
