Sunset Subs and Steaks is our favorite spot whenever we travel from New Jersey to Delaware. We always make it a point to stop here. They have the best cheesesteaks in town, packed with meat, cheese, and perfectly grilled.

This time, we decided to stop for breakfast. We ordered two egg and cheese wraps with mushrooms and our favorite sauce, Boom Boom. This sauce is a delicious mix of peppers and garlic that will take you straight to heaven if you like spicy flavors. The wraps were loaded with mushrooms, and the eggs were perfectly cooked and never dry.

Listening to the owner’s suggestions is always a good idea; he really knows what he’s talking about. We appreciate that everything is fresh, of high quality, and clearly made with love. This family-owned business is dedicated to serving the community’s needs, and it shows.

Sunset Subs and Steaks is definitely a place to visit whenever you’re in town!

Easy, friendly, deli, been coming here for years, family owned & operated, everything freshly made to order, and not skimpy. This visit we got the newly added 1ft hot dogs! Delicious & grilled to perfection! Will definitely add this to my repeat order visits.

The gentleman on the phone was either extremely busy or impatient with me on the phone. I placed my order and since it was a large one, I asked him to repeat it and of course it was wrong. It took four more attempts with him cutting me off every step of the way (which is probably why he kept getting it wrong). It was frustrating to order and their site sucks for online ordering so it felt like a lose-lose. I hope this isn’t a regular experience and that he was simply busy or something but that doesn’t make it any less disappointing.

They gave me a regular cheese steak when I asked for chicken I explained to them that I don't eat beef the guy says that's not they problem I can't get a replacement or my money back plus it was hair inside my food these ppl are disgusting and disrespectful Ive been coming here for years it is not what it used to don't go if you know me then you know I am really good with where I eat this is not the place to go.

I get a breakfast sandwich every other day. The establishment is always clean. They provide beef and turkey options. They sell snacks and juices as well. I think they do lottery as well.

Great food

I was looking for a good place for lunch for myself and my co-workers in New Castle. I googled "good sandwiches in New Castle" and Sunset Subs & Steaks showed up. I looked at the reviews and saw that they were positive. I placed my order online. (Cheese Steak w/lettuce, mayo and ketchup) When I got there the owner said that the order came over as an Italian sub w/lettuce, mayo and ketchup. (I must have hit the wrong sandwich when ordering) The owner said he didn't make the sandwich b/c he thought there might be a mistake. He was super nice and made my order in 5 minutes. When I got back to my office the sandwich was hot and delicious and not lacking in meat. Very tasty. I will be coming back to this location and encourage my co-workers to do the same. Great job!!!

Really good cheesesteaks and breakfast. Scrapple, Egg and Cheese was amazing, and i’ve never been disappointed with their cheesesteaks. Definitely a favorite.
