Has a lot of potential but fell short. Focus here is the food of course. When I read it was Afro/Carribean inspired I was excited for some big flavors and spices. While the dishes were generically good they fell flat on my taste buds. It feels like the flavors were turned down to accommodate boring white people. For context while am a white guy (not that it’s relevant) I grew up around Afro-Caribbean food and as an adult spent a few years living in Africa so I feel pretty familiar with the flavor possibilities here. In terms of the dining experience.I would not call this “fine dining”. Maybe for Delaware…it’s nice but not truly fine dining.

This is quickly become a new favorite. The food, music, atmosphere, and drinks are amazing. Q is an amazing bartender and Barb is the best hostess! I highly recommend their amazingly unique drinks, food, brunch, and desserts. You can't go wrong with any choice.

Had the fried chicken tenders (it was ok, I really prefer regular fried chicken and not tenders, it tasted more premade and not homemade) french toast (this was good not amazing but pretty good) and the crab cake (it had more peppers in it than I would prefer). Overall not bad, I would definitely come again, having live music was very nice.

This was a wonderful dining experience. My sea bass entree was scrumptious, and the Jalapena Kicker cocktail was so good... I can't wait to go back.

Our son suggested this wonderful restaurant to celebrate his birthday today. Brunch was wonderful with live music. Shrimp & Grits delish. Burger & fries delish. Seafood chowder & salad delish. Huntsman breakfast delish. All reasonably priced. Staff very friendly & knowledgable. We will be back again.

We live around the corner from Zollie's in Old New Castle. We rarely make a reservation, and simply walk in. The food is always fantastic. I have never had a bad meal. The staff is always friendly and they remember us. The live music makes for a warm atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Chef does not allow menu substations. But honestly, you will not need to!

On Saturday night, drawn by the promise of Jazz night featured on their website. Though the website indicates that bookings are advised but not necessary, I had a rather unwelcoming experience.Nobody said hello to me when I first entered, not until I passed the bar. A woman who I could not identify as being associated with the restaurant came up to me and started asking me questions without introducing herself. To my astonishment, even though all I wanted to do was grab a brew, she gave a list of reasons why I couldn't stay. Even though there were some open tables in the back.I made the decision to depart following an awkward encounter and a lack of clarity regarding her role. Regrettably, the terrible encounter eclipsed any possible delight in Jazz night. I went to the nearby tavern, where the service was better and the ambiance cozier....I want to clarify that I didn't engage in any confrontations or physical contact. I simply chose to distance myself from a situation where I felt unwelcome from a lady. Interestingly, I had a pleasant experience at the tavern when I sat at the bar with no issues. Regardless, I'll let my actions speak for themselves, as I believe I did nothing wrong. For all who are reading I've decided not to return to this establishment. It seems there was a misunderstanding on their part, as my only intention was to enjoy a drink and music without any issues. And if i was 'in a trance' maybe it was because i had to use the bathroom.

From day one, Zollie's has been one of my. favorite restaurants. Fresh ingredients, a varying menu, good music, a convivial atmosphere. Great value for the $$.Parking: Zollie's is located in Historic New Castle, originally named Fort Casimir, was founded in 1651 by Peter Stuyvesant. Unlike many historic communities, New Castle is a residential town where people live and work. Each house reflects the individuality of its past and present owners. Because New Castle has been named a National Landmark Historic Area, all renovations and restorations are carefully supervised. All businesses are located next to or below residences.

Yes to the owner of Jollies I was with my wife at the time. The only liar is you and good riddance to your restaurant when you close down and we’ve been there several Fridays and Saturdays and there’s no jazz music maybe some setting up but never play, you don’t even have jazz music playing through your speakers and yes, you did serve mixed vegetables cause that’s the first thing we laughed at cause we had to wait so long for the lousy bland food. Also, there are other people that commented that there is no live jazz music plan check your reviews

We went to Zollies one night after work, and I was a little tired, so I had my specialty coffee with me. when I went inside. The Hostess said that I wasn't allowed to bring in my coffee, and I asked her what type of coffee they had. She said I don't know what type of coffee it is, but you can't bring in your own So we poured out our coffee, we ordered food. I asked if they could make an adjustment to the vegetable side dish that I wanted because it has onions in it, and I have an allergic reaction to onions. They said the chef whipped me something up when this food came out. It was some frozen food mixed with vegetables in a bag from the supermarket. The food has been very inconsistent, so we will not be returning. They never, have live jazz. Music
