My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here as we were a Veteran family invited to Bethany Beach for Operation SEAS the Day. Words can’t express the gratitude that we have for the incredible dinner that we had. I absolutely loved the crab dip, it was the best I had ever had! We both ordered soups. I had the cream of crab and my husband had the French onion soup, they were sooo good. Never had cream of crab before. Next, we both ordered the ribeyes which were juicy, flavorful, and tender. The key lime pie was amazing! The servers were friendly and took great care of us. The patio outside is perfect for a date night. The Cafe on 26th is a must if you are in town and we will be back again next time we are in Bethany Beach!

Followed their voicemail directions to leave a message for a reservation for our anniversary but a confirmation phone was never received so I guess they just don't want our business.
It's a shame too since they likely have limited hours in the off season because they can't fill tables all year long, but maybe the issue with filing tables is with how they handle (read: ignore) locals calling to make reservations🤷🏼♂️
Update: someone actually called me back about 50+ hours after my voicemail to claim that they usually take reservations 2 weeks in advance, I'm still not sure why a restaurant that's that in demand would be closed half the week, but whatever. When I told the person who called that we couldn't make an 830 reservation she just hung up on me.

Cafe26 is an amazing restaurant. I am a picky eater and they were very accommodating. I asked if they ever have chicken as a special and they told me to just give them a day or 2 notice and they will have chicken . My meal was excellent and everyone else in my party LOVED their meals . Our waitress was very sweet! Highly recommend !

A group of us recently dined at Café on 26 in Ocean View, DE (just outside Bethany Beach) and we were treated to a great dining experience. The crabcakes were full of lump crab (no filler) the salmon was perfectly cooked, and the scallops were seared beautifully with great flavor. We finished with the Key Lime pie, smooth and tangy with just the right sweetness. Cozy vibe and friendly service—highly recommend.

I’ve been wanting to try Cafe on 26 since I moved here in 2020, and it was absolutely worth the wait. The service was excellent. The food was incredible from start to finish. The salmon with peaches was cooked to perfection—flaky, flavorful, and beautifully complemented by the sweet, fresh fruit. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the peach cake (after all, it’s peach season), and it was pure heaven—moist, flavorful, and just the right sweetness. My cucumber cocktail was the perfect refreshing companion on this warm evening. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the atmosphere was cozy yet refined. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu. A true gem!

This place is DELICIOUS!!! SO well-done. Any time I’m near Delaware, I come here. The service is great, nice atmosphere, beautiful outdoor patio, fancy wine room, & the food is exceptional. The potato parm salmon gets better every time. Highly recommend!

Our fish was overdone. Very dry. Also: 2 steaks: overdone Returned One was fine The other very rare in the middle. This restaurant was recommended & I would not go back!
The food is very good but the wait for entree is ridiculous. We sat down at 8:10 pm. We ordered at 8:15. Our appetizers arrived within 10 minutes. We ordered our entrees at 8:25. Our food arrived at 9:40 pm. The waitress warned us of a delay on the food but then disappeared for 20 minutes. The irony is that they say there is a 2 hour time limit. We'll We waited over an hour for our entrees. Worst of all there was no offer for a free appetizer. This place has great food but expect to wait over an hour to begin eating your entrees. Very disappointed with the service.

Delicious food in a cozy intimate restaurant off the beaten path. We didn’t eat outside, but the outside is absolutely stunning. The duck breast was to die for and it is great that you can select from 2 different sides. Marian was an absolute sweetheart! Will definitely be back!

We booked for 2 and later added our two kids for a 530pm dinner... the place was empty... And they said sorry we cannot take you until 830pm. Rude and terrible service. I would not go there irregardless of how good the food might be.

Food is ok not great not terrible…but what I have a problem with is no candles for bday celebrations..no special mention after we made this reservation..no free desert. Go buy candles at Giant, stick it in 50 cent cupcakes so a person can make a wish! Also, no bread? Why are you so cheap?
