During the week of 9/18/23 my family enjoyed 2 dinners from Rippons. 1st.dinner my wife ordered Crab cakes & I had the Softshell Crab sandwhich, BOTH were OUTSTANDING!!! 2nd. dinner we enjoyed fried oysters and 1 DZ. Med. Large Crabs. BOTH were OUTSTANDING!!! RIPPONS is the place for FRESH SEAFOOD & GREAT SERVICE!!!!

It’s a take out shop…and the fried food was good but you guys gotta work on the bread for the fish sandwich. I think you ran up to Harris Teeter and bought a loaf off the shelf.

Great spot for fresh seafood and Smith Island Cakes
Best crab cake sandwich on the shore. Nothing fancy here, just good seafood! And the French fries rock. Sandwiches are to-go so bring your own beer or get a soda next door, and sit outside and enjoy! Or take it with you with a slice of the tastiest key lime pie ever. A nice destination for a bike ride from Bethany Beach.

I picked up an order of cream of crab soup today (June 12,2023). It was a cold order which was ok because I would heat it at home. So, it definitely was not creamy nor was there any crab meat. The soup looked like dirty dishwater with a few floating suspect vegetables at the cost of $11.99. I threw it out. Think twice about ordering!

We called in a dozen jumbo crabs. When we got there they gave us 11. The crabs were not even close to Jumbo and were $144, not 120 like all of the other crab places in the area. Rippons was sold awhile back. It waS good when the other owner owned, but this owner does a terrible job. Owning a place in the area, knowing we would visit often, you would think they would not have this level of service. Don't go. Just don;t. This weekend we went to Captain Macs and they are fantastic. go there.
