Selbyville Pit & Pub

So far, EVERY pit & pub experience has been great! We love it! This is the first time we have been to THIS location. MADDIE took great care of us! Thanks Maddie!!

This was my first time at this location. Maddie was an amazing bartender! The food was great, atmosphere was just as good. My husband and I will be back again!

Great place to eat ! First time there and we sat at the bar . Service was great, food was awesome . Bartender on the ball !!

delicious food! some of the best bbq i ever had. the wings were amazing. i love the ribs and the bbq chicken. the fries were super cispy and desert was phenomenal! i love the chef here he is so down to earth and friendly and even came to our table. i hope this place stays here forever

I really wanted to like this place as there are not a lot of BBQ options along 113 but after this experience, I won't be returning. Arrived at 4:30 and the waiter did not mention 1/2 price appetizers from 2-5 and when we ordered entrees did not tell us they would be half price starting at 5PM. I definitely would have waited a half hour to take advantage of that and the only reason I knew about that is I heard the waitress mention it to the tables she had. Also not a fan of the credit card surcharge not being mentioned.
Food:
Pulled pork was very good with a nice vinegar based sauce. Cole slaw was a bit dry for my taste but the hush puppies were crisp on the outside and soft inside, just right.
Brisket was more like a pot roast with thick slices and a definite lack of smoke. But accompanying sides of collard greens and corn bread were both tasty.

So basically I would give the restaurant another shot if I did not feel that I paid double the price I should have for the same meal someone ordered 30 minutes later.
After seeing the gracious response of the owner I would like to amend my response to add a star as obviously they care about their business's relationship with customers.

Place is clean smells good. Friendly staff. Taylor was the bartender she was great, helpful and quick. A real local business serving local people with local workers, support this and others before there all gone.

The First time I came here it was nice, good Service and good food . Now this is my 2nd time and the food is good still it's the Service I don't care for this time. I was set at my table but 3 other tables came in and back of me and was served before me

The chicken & rib dinner arrived and the ribs were cold (as if taken from the refrigerator). It was like eating leftovers. Asked for cheddar on the patty melt....got swiss.

We went for our 39th anniversary with 2 other couples on 6/22/24. Kirby was our waiter and he was AMAZING! We had a wonderful time, the food was delicious and plentiful and the service was excellent! We will be back!!

So I dout this will stay up vary long because the so called owner remove s all negative reviews because they cant handle it. They were disrespectful and the food was over priced for what it was. Over cooked and small portions. This is the second location I have been to and i will never step foot in either one of them again. I rather throw my money in the trash literally.
