Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

After reading some older reviews, I wanted to share my recent experience at Capriotti's in Smyrna, DE. The 52% rating I saw online doesn't do this place justice! I had a fantastic cheesesteak with onions, peppers, and provolone cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the melted provolone with the grilled onions and peppers was the perfect combination. ​It's clear that the quality is top-notch, and the recent "Bigger, Better" initiative, which adds 25% more meat to their cheesesteaks, shows they are committed to providing great value. I've already been impressed with my meal and can't wait to go back and try more of their subs! If you're in the area and craving a great cheesesteak, don't let the old reviews stop you—Capriotti's is a must-try.

Don't know what the attitude is with the guy with the green or blue colored hair is! Everytime I come in he has an attitude like your bothering him to order food. Every item you add to your order he shakes his head. Rediculous

Stop here each time I'm in the area. My family loves the BOB kind of a thanksgiving sandwich. I get the standard Italian, but it's all good. Fairly quick even when bussy. Staff is friendly and dont ignore you as some places do.

Ordered a bbq chicken salad, only to find there was no black bean mix, and 4 PIECES OF CHICKEN. They did not answer the phone when I called to ask about the mishap. 🤷🏾

The person that rings up the food should ALWAYS change his or her gloves if he/she has to help with the food or be sure to remove the gloves before going back to the food!. VERY UNSANITARY!

Wife ordered two subs 1 turkey 2 italian both were extremely dry with stale rolls. They have really gone down hill.

Always great place to stop and grab something to eat, I’ve been coming here since I was little and the place has always been very welcoming with amazing food everytime!!! Came in for the first time in years and the service was great, food was great and emo throwbacks were played as I waited couldn’t have been happier!

Ordered a cheesesteak and paid for extra meat! All I can say is I would hate to see what it would’ve looked like without extra meat!! Absolutely not worth the 18.00 NEVER again!!

I had all my friends read the instructions on my receipt and then they looked at my steak and face palmed. 3 friends to be exact. Capriotti's made my sandwich so sloppy when I specifically asked not to by adding the ketchup on the bottom with the mayo. No the ketchup was directly on top of the sandwhich and smeared all over making it very messy to deal with. First time eating at this specific location. Moved here recently and I don't know if I be coming back or not. Been eating capriotti's for years but this was definitely a bad fail in following instructions. It felt personal how it was made.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options but they really messed up my sandwich.

Wonderful

The location is very consistent. I have been to many Capriottis, and this is one of my favorite Delaware locations. The staff will greet you upon entering, and the food is always ready at the time promised. I will continue to patronize this business and recommend it to my family & friends.
