We went here on 12/19/2025 at approximately 2:10 pm, and just watched people walk out and when we got to the door they were all locked and there were two people standing in the back of the restaurant and nobody was at the drive through window and the one just stared at us. I’m glad that their manager doesn’t mind losing customers and money, but just thought he would like to know he’s paying his employees to do nothing until 10 pm when they close. Especially when they obviously lock up before 2:30 pm. We definitely will find a new place to go !!! Thank you KFC in Smyrna DE, also according to the reviews from a month ago looks like we weren’t the only ones who will be finding a better place to go for dinner!!!

You ask for the kind of chicken you want, they give you whatever they grab. The food is always burnt and dried out if you order anything past first hour or two of opening. Burnt and dried biscuts. Burnt and dried out cardboard chicken. Burnt fries.... it's insane. Awful and 9/10 going to be a waste of your money.

DO NOT GO HERE! Run away as fast as you can!!! This is the worst KFC in the franchise! They’re never adequately staffed, it’s dirty inside I’m surprised the inspectors haven’t shut this place down. The food is overcooked and salty or they don’t have items on the menu and the wait times are ridiculous. This place is disgusting and disgraceful save your money and go somewhere else.

Went on Sunday at 12:40 p.m. in the drive thru. They said they were closed and wouldn't open for 10 minutes. I sat in the drive thru for a few minutes waiting to place my order and was asked to move because it was making their drive thru order timer too long! I guess they didn't want the owner know how bad the service is.

I came to this location 2 hours before they closed and they were out of just about everything. When I asked to order a family meal they told me they only had dark meat when I said that was okay they said they didn’t have enough chicken and it was done for the night . Time and time again my family comes here and gets horrible service. How is it 2 hours before close are you “out.” Of over thing for the night… don’t recommend

The food was horrible the original chicken skin was hard and burnt also they were out of coleslaw and the potato wedges were overcooked. Will not eat there again and I suggest that you don’t eat there either

Absolutely terrible, worst kfc I've ever been to. Rude customer service, they were mad and accusing me of lying when I got half the stuff I ordered. Paid for 4 biscuits with my meal, got 4 cheap crappy sandwich rolls instead. Should of just got a refund because all the food tasted old and stale anyway.

One star only because it’s the minimum allowed. 5 pm on a Friday and they have only dark meat available. Waited for the order over 30 minutes even though we were the only ones at the place when we placed the order. Then they began handing out orders to people who arrived after we did. Not enough our order was wrong and we were faced with walking away without our money or having to wait even longer for them to fix it. We are never coming back to this place again.
Stopped in for lunch at the Smyrna De location today 8/7/2025 at 1140am..the chicken was hot and freshly cooked and the mashed potatoes was hot...the crew that was working 2 guys and a lady was very friendly..This is the best KFC I have eaten at in a long time...Great Experience...

This is hands down the worst restaurant in America. I realize this is in a bad area but holy cow is this place horrible. I waited 25 minutes for 5 chicken tenders. After I got the order it was wrong. People there have no sense or urgency and clearly don’t care.
