My husband and I were running errands this Saturday morning around 8:00 a.m., and decided to grab some breakfast at the Smyrna Diner. It was our fourth visit to this local restaurant.
We entered the place, and were greeted by a surly hostess who looked like she would have rather been anywhere else but there. The place was quasi empty, and we were promptly seated at a booth. And then, the wait started. There were waiting staff folks around, but not one came to our table to ask if we wanted coffee or water. After ten full minutes had elapsed, we just got up and left, vouching never to return to the Smyrna Diner.
On our previous visits, service had been slow, but not that bad.
For the record, we ended up going to the Hollywood Diner in Dover, where the food was great and the service stellar.

Great time with friends but the food left a bit to be desired from the all you can wat.. the biscuits.. well kinda like ricks.. had to let them soak in the graveyard a bit to soften them up... very friendly staff !

Ok, the staff was amazing, so much help and all smiles. The building was disgusting, like so dirty, mold at the ac vents, dust on the ceiling fans, and the bathroom was awful. The food...had potential however after we saw the ant or bugs with antlers as my daughter stated in her cup. We lost our appetite. I'm seriously disappointed.
