I was so hopeful this place would be good considering the previous reviews i read…I was sadly unimpressed today. We stopped in for a late lunch, around 2pm. The place was not busy, only one large group and a couple other tables with 1-2 people. We ordered our food and my Mom asked the waitress to bring the jalapeño poppers with her meal as it was not an app but she wanted them with the wings that she ordered. We ordered one kids Mac and cheese with cut up hot dogs for my young son and I ordered the triple combination plate with pork tamales, chicken enchilada and cheese Chili Relleno. The wait for food was a bit long considering the lack of people in the place but finally we saw food coming our way. The only food brought was my young sons meal, witch was just plain elbow noodles with some wrinkled up cut hot dogs and some shredded cheese melted on top and the jalapeño poppers. Even though we had asked for them to come out with the meal…We didn’t make an issue out of it and my mom just ate them while we continued to wait for the rest of our dishes. We waited almost another 20 minutes before the waitress came back to the table to inform us they were out of wings…So she chose another dish, Street tacos. We again waited another 15-20 minutes for the rest of our food to arrive. By now my son had finished his meal and just had to sit while we waited for the rest of our food. It finally came and while the plates were warm, the food was not. I ate about a 1/4 of my enchilada and tamale and I could not eat the chili relleno because when I cut into it I noticed the cheese inside was not melted at all…literally cold shredded cheese inside. I asked the waitress to remove it from our bill as it was not edible. She said ok and then walked away. We sat for a while and then asked for boxes to take the rest of my enchiladas and tamale home with the rice and beans. She said ok then went on to bus a few tables while we continued to wait. She finally came back and brought boxes and we asked for the check. When the check finally came I noticed she didn’t remove the chili relleno from the bill and the price for the small quac was $1 more than the menu showed. She did only charge my mom for the wings she ordered that they didn’t have instead of the higher priced tacos she ended up getting. But the rest of the bill was not correct. I decided I had been there waiting long enough and was ready to just leave so I paid the bill as it was and we left. I will not be back. It’s unfortunate because it’s a cute place and I really wanted to like it.

Disappointed to say the least. We made reservations here around a month ago as we planned to eat here before Petrified Forest. We did the same thing last year, and didn’t think it would be an issue. And it wasn’t when we made the reservation. All was set and ready to go. Then, I call yesterday (reservation was for today) to make slight change to the amount of people coming and they told us they aren’t taking reservations. I told them that we had already made one, assuming they were confused and weren’t taking any additional. Nope. They just were no longer taking reservations and never called to let us know. We had 8 people coming, so for that size of a group to go anywhere without a reservation is tough. For them to not call and let us know they had to cancel our reservation is incredibly inconsiderate, and they did not have a care in the world when I was speaking on the phone. We will definitely never be back and wouldn’t recommend this place.

Quick and attentive service. Everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. I found my dish was a good sized portion that was hot, fresh and tasty.

Loved our dinner! We had 4 at our table, and they brought out two meals super quick. The next meal came out about 15 minutes later, and then the last meal came out another 5 minutes later. When you try to eat together and be respectful for the people who don't have their food yet, it was pretty disappointing how they served us all at different times. But the food was great! I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was.

Poblanos Mexican Grill exceeded my expectations and delivered the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The high-quality carne asada steak used in their dishes was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a generous serving of fresh chips and salsa. The attentive staff made sure that my drink was promptly refilled before my glass was empty. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff added to the overall excellent experience. On top of all that, the prices were reasonably affordable, and the portion sizes were generous. Poblanos Mexican Grill is definitely a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious and fresh Mexican cuisine, excellent service, and great value."

Warning: they charge you different prices than what is on the menu.I have eaten here before, and I appreciated the flavors, the quality, and the service. Today I was underwhelmed. The chips are overcooked, the steak had no flavor and for being a “Bistec Mexicana” with onions, tomatoes and jalapeños on it, I expected it to be amazing. It had potential but zero flavor. The worst part, my bill came out differently than what is marked on the menu, my waitress Jenny informs me that the prices have changed. Then, you need new menus. You need to inform your guests prior to them ordering. She comes back with the adjusted check saying the manager gave it to me this time. This time as a what? Courtesy? Courtesy for being wrong? The menu is legally an offer, and when I placed my order, it was a binding contract and you have to sell the food at that price. Be careful. This is against the law. It would be cheaper for you to get new menus.

Emerita was an amazing server so polite and offered recommendations. She answered our questions too. The food was super delicious and it is a hidden gem in the area. Every dish had flavor including the rice and beans!! Kudos to the cooks!! The margarita was top notch. We had a great time and will definitely be back. We are telling everyone to come.

My family's first time here and we can't wait to come back. I absolutely loved their FAJITA SALAD. I had it with both steak and chicken and they were both cooked to perfection, still tender and filled with flavor. Yum!Kid-friendliness: They provided a nice coloring book and crayons and had great kid menu options

I just went to this restaurant for the first time. Service was horrible, salsa was disgusting it tasted more like watered down ketchup with a few herbs thrown in, absolutely no flavor. I had the Carne Asada beef tacos which were just average. They had no cheese, I asked for a little on the side and was charged $.99 for it. I had one Pacifico bottle beer. The menu said import beers were $4.95 which is about average price to pay. After paying my bill I realized I was charged $5.99 for the beer. When I questioned the server about it he said that is what the system charges and they changed their prices but did not update the menu. He refused to refund me the difference. I wish I had not given him a 20% tip as I feel they are intentionally over charging people and pocketing the difference. $5.99 for one bottle of beer is ridiculous. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER be back to this establishment again. Suzanne
