Always so so amazing. I love the queso, trashy trailer park tacos, and the drinks are even better. You’ll miss out passing by and not grabbing something for yourself.

Torchy's Tacos was a huge let down. The menu sounded fun, but beware. First, at noon, they were out of chorizo, which was an ingredient in my friend's lunch. She asked for rice and beans, but again, they were out of it. My friend decided to have a beef taco. When it came to the table ( I was already done with my steak fajita, more about that in a minute) all it was , was steak on a flour tortilla. Nothing else. No sauce, lettuce, Pico, nothing. When we asked about it, we were told they were all add ons, which no one told us about. Also, it was called a beef taco, and my friend thought it would be ground beef. My steak fajita was tasty, but a spit out at least 3 pieces of gnarly steak I couldn't chew. I went to the condiments counter, they were out of salt. What kind of taco place would not have chorizo, rice and beans, and salt. Someone has a bad kitchen manager who doesn't know how to order properly. This place was a dud, poorly run. All these things happened, and to us. How many others did this place completely disappoint? We asked for a manager, but there was none on site. I can't blame him or her. They must know their restaurant is not good . At. All. Very disappointed.

It makes me so sad to write this review, but I hope it’ll help to turn things around. I went to Torchy’s today for the first time in a few months. It’s about an hour round trip drive for me, so I don’t go as often as I’d like.

I should start by saying I lived in Austin for over 10 years and started going to Torchy’s when they were just a food truck and then watched as they expanded with brick and mortar restaurants across the city. I was amazed as they expanded that they were able to keep up the original flavor/quality and always had excellent service. 5 stars on every level.

I was ecstatic to find out after moving to Florida that there was a Torchy’s close enough to treat myself occasionally, in between trips back to Austin. This location has always been reasonably good until this last visit today.

The issues started as soon as we walked in. The cashiers have been replaced with a large touch-screen kiosk. Everyone was taking a while to figure them out so it was very slow to order. I was happy that at least the secret menu items were still available.

After ordering, they had cups for the fountain drinks by the kiosk, but there was no indication whether the drinks from the cooler (Mexican Coke, etc.) would be brought out to us or if we were supposed to help ourselves. It was a bit awkward since the cooler is behind the register counter, so I waited, but nobody ever brought anything, so I went and helped myself. I don’t know how they’ll keep track of who paid for what.

We ordered chips and queso and 3 tacos. The tacos came out before the chips, and they were the saddest looking Torchy’s tacos I’ve ever seen. Usually I’m cleaning up my plate with a fork because they’re so loaded up with ingredients. These tacos barely had anything on them. My wife’s Trailer Park only had one chicken tender about 2 inches long on it. Barely qualified to be called a nugget. Mine were a bit better as far as the chicken, but still nothing at all compared to what I’ve grown accustomed to over my years going to Torchy’s.

We told the waitress when the tacos came out that we had chips and queso as well. She apologized and said they were coming right out. We watched several tables who ordered after us get theirs and after waiting half an hour, we finally asked the bartender. She said they were making a new batch and then finally brought it out a few minutes later.

Long story short, this experience REALLY bummed me out. I’ve been a huge Torchy’s fan since day 1 and I can only hope this is localized problem and not indicative of a new penny-pinching corporate strategy to milk what’s left of their reputation for profits.

Taste and quantity should not cost this much.
If I paid 4 dollars even for the tiny little baby portion I would not be giving 1 star review but 7-10 dollars for small portions of food that isnt that good …..that was a 3-4 dollar taco. Your prices need to be readjusted.

Ordered 3 tacos and so small one was missing the meat. The total order was $50 and not with it. Customer service and management need to listen how to listen to there customers. Don’t recommend this place

Food is great, this place quickly turned into a regular lunch spot. The tacos are huge so it’s worth the price. Unfortunately, I just ordered takeout and they didn’t even fill the taco so I’d only dine in from now on.

Did not end up ordering. Could only talk to AI who could not get a chicken taco order. Can’t order online unless you want to pay for Doirdash. Will not eat at a place that makes it difficult to order. I bet staff expects a tip to pick up when you have to order through a machine.

Drop some money and the staff found it a
gave it back to me. Thank you!
