O-Ku was the highlight of our vacation! My husband and I had an unforgettable date night here while traveling, and everything—from the ambiance to the service—was exceptional. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, with flavors that truly stood out. Our waiter was fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Of our 4 night stay at Rosemary/Alys beach we spent two nights at O-Ku. We didn’t have reservations, so we were happy to find seats at the bar. This ended up being the best experience for us. The first night Nick and Kevin were our servers/bartenders and they absolutely made the experience for us. We went back on our third night and were pleased to have Kevin as our server/bartender again. The food was incredible, but the service was even better. Really made our trip and we are so glad we tried it out.

We had a great time at O-ku last night. Was recommended to try this place by a friend. Our server Seam was incredible and really made the experience complete. We have very little experience with sushi and she explained everything very well and gave many great recommendations.
We were able to try a few different things. The Oceanside roll was a great recommendation. I was also able to try the sake dreams Nigiri.
Overall was a great experience and atmosphere and would go again.

Came here last year and realized I hadn’t left a review. If my memory serves me, they, the hostesses tried to seat four of us around a small table top for two. Had to call manager over to have us seated in a bigger booth. The selections were ok and a tad expensive but nothing memorable. Seems like they still have issues with staff and ok, Sushi.

Honestly I am usually so hard to be impressed by food, but this one was one kind of experience. Appetizers and sushi are amazing, every bite is unique and special. Sugar and spice with tequila is one of the best drinks I had for a while. Service was excellent.

Uh-MAZIN!! We came with the intention of shnarfin on some himachi kama but they were out....until they werent...our bartended, Kristin, went above and beyond and made it happen. She went to the chefs and conjured up a beautiful fish collar, perfectly fried and tasty. Totally made my day. If you havent already, EAT here. Ask for the himachi kama. Hands down the best cut on the entire fish. Thanks to kristen for makin it happen. 15/10. HIGHLY recommend.

The food was pretty good. Unfortunately, my friend was very disappointed when her $11, 1-piece nigiri tasted exactly like my $22, 8-piece sushi roll. The rice that came with her nigiri was also much sweeter than any of us have tasted with nigiri before. Basically, don't get the nigiri, it's not worth it. The oceanside and spicy tuna crunch rolls were great. The service was honestly the worst part. Our waitress forgot every thing we asked for and had to ask at least twice. We were there for at least an hour and a half and she refilled our small water glasses once. My friend got a Coke and had to ask about four times for it. We had been sitting for 30 minutes before she got the smallest glass of Coke I've ever seen. The restaurant was beautiful but everything echoed so it was extremely loud.

5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD. My girlfriend and I have been coming here once a year for the past 3 years. Last night I was craving Asian food and wanted to try the new O-ku. We have one back in Atlanta as well. The ambiance was very pretty matching the aesthetic of Alys Beach theme, food was phenomenal like always and the service was top tier 10/10. Our server Lee was the best! He gave us amazing recommendations such as the oceanside roll, ube soft serve, and the otoro spoons. Lee was very kind and was very attentive. Definitely would request him for future visits. If you crave Asian food and wanted great food, service and ambiance definitely check out O-ku AND REQUEST LEE!!!
