Average experience. Food tasted fresh. They didn't have the noodle dish that is specifically offered on Sundays, was out of the edamame appetizer and do not offer cold non-alcoholic beverages, only water with no ice. However, they do have a bar. We ordered 4 sushi rolls. The one with shrimp had pieces of shrimp shells that weren't removed properly. $100 for 4 small rolls with water. Ok over all, but definitely not impressed.
The noise level is nice in that it has great energy . The food is consistently good. The truffle edamame and toro spoons are home runs. We try and sit at the bar as that is a great experience, but when we can't, we've had pretty good luck with servers. It's a good experience and we will return.
The food is always good, but the service is always off. Servers are friendly, but the timing of courses is miserable.
We had a memorable pre-Valentine's dinner at O-Ku in 30A. The restaurant serves high quality food with a varied menu of elevated Japanese gourmet dishes. Our superb waitress, Cynthia, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations. Our favorites were the lobster fried rice, unique sushi rolls (Oceanside & the gulf pearl), red velvet cheesecake, and sugar & spice drink! Don't miss it on 30A with a beautiful sunset view!
Cynthia was amazing!! She was so attentive and sweet. She made our experience at O-Ku 100/10. Every dish was delicious and we had the best time. Hopefully we can have Cynthia again next time we come!
Came here after proposing to my long time girlfriend on Christmas Eve and we had the most amazing experience. Our server Trey was so kind and ever sent out a few samples for us. Cannot say enough about the entire staff at this restaurant. 11/10 and would highly recommend! The food was also amazing, with hand made desserts for the holidays.
Food was great, but service was extremely slow. Waiter was great, just took forever to get our food.
This was our first visit to O-Ku. We had several appetizers, entrees, temaki and sushi. Our server Paige was very attentive and helpful explaining the menu and making suggestions. Cocktails were top notch also
Service and ambiance were very good , the food was terrible and extremely over priced . I would not recommend this restaurant .
Always delicious, paired with warm and attentive service. Our favorite date night spot at the beach! Thank you!

We love oku! We go all the time. The food can be hit or miss. And last night it was a miss. The service was also very flakey. Took way too long to get our order. Walker away prior to getting everyone's appetizer order. Minimal water. It was just disappointing.
A little disappointed I just wasn't too pleased with the quality of the food. The chutoro spoons, the chutoro was grey when it came out. And I was disappointed in the amount of rice on all the rolls. It was way too much. Also got the blueberry eclair dessert and the shu pastry was super stale. The manager was kind enough to take it off the bill. For the price point of the restaurant and the location. They really need to step the quality of the food up. All the other locations of Oku seem to be better. That just my opinion.
Unfortunately it was very loud in the restaurant. The music was way too loud and we were seated very very close to another table and could hear their entire conversation.
Lesley was our server and she was hands down the best! This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! The food and drinks were well worth the every dime!
Been to O-ku many times at multiple locations. Food took forever - for instance the hot stone A5 came out more than 30 min after ordering. I do not feel it was our servers fault. Made for a difficult meal with kids. Music volume was so loud we could not talk.
