We always come for the sushi at the Lobby bar , hubby’s fave if the nigiri platter and I come for the Fernandina roll or the Amelia roll. This is the local favorite. Locally sourced and fresh always . The atmosphere is very relaxing as it is facing the ocean. They have live music playing in the evenings. Our server Jamie is the best . We come for her I should say because she is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, very accurate in taking orders and efficient in delivering our meal . I would ask for her . The manager Kristina is the best ! She stays busy making sure all the guests are in their best comfort and orders are on point . She is very friendly as well and makes you feel right at home . Ambience is amazing from sunrise to sunset as the bar is oceanfront .

The Lobby Bar is more than a bar. One of the best sushi spots on the island, and they always have live music and some of the best signature cocktails. Looking for an upscale vibe, the lobby bar is your destination!

The customer service is amazing at this resort! They went above and beyond to help us with our needs. Not only do they treat their guests great, but vendors! My family also spent a few days at the resort and made so many wonder memories because of the staff. Their pool is relaxing and offers an area perfect for kids. So many wonderful memories were made here and we will definitely be coming back.
Yep, it is as good as everyone says. We had the famous smoky old fashioned and sushi. It was our of this world! Only giving it 4 stars because I thought that since this was the Ritz the place was going to be more luxurious but instead it felt a bit outdated. The hotel is currently under renovation, so hopefully this area will also get an upgrade.

Upscale bar inside the Lobby of the prestigious Ritz Carlton Amelia Island! Prices are elevated to Ritz Carlton level prices but the service, food, and atmosphere are elevated as well.
From the beautifully elegant lobby, the super friendly service, the amazing drinks, and good sushi...this is an excellent place to start your vacation at the Ritz or meet friends and enjoy some sushi and drinks.
Every time we visit family and friends staying at the Ritz or visit friends at Carlton Dunes, it's always nice to just walk over, grab some drinks and sushi and relax in the upscale casual atmosphere!

The Dune Bar is a hidden gem at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island! We always look forward to sitting by the beach enjoying a cocktail! We are so glad to see that the Dune Bar is back open and look forward to coming back soon!

From the time we arrived at the resort we were greeted and welcomed warmly. Huy, and another gentleman were the valets Who helped us with our car. They were very busy, but nevertheless were friendly and helpful every time. At check in we met Mario, he really seemed to enjoy his job and seemed excited to see us. Steve, The Concierge was very helpful in helping my husband get his tuxedo altered for the wedding we were to attend that evening. He contacted the seamstress, Irma, and she had the pants hemmed and back to our room in less than 30 minutes. We booked a club level room they gave us access to a private lounge where we met more of Ritz finest. It was Kathy, Robert, Talissa, Kayla ,Joni and last but not least Yurio. Every day they greeted us with a smile, we always had fresh hors d’oeuvres, Breakfast food, light lunches, wine and cocktails. My husband and I felt like we were among friends every time we were there. On our last day, Kathy even packed us snacks for the trip home. Our review would not be complete without mentioning Jessica. She was our housekeeper each day and was very professional, friendly and attentive. Our room was spotless, which proved to us she has a strong work ethic. This was by far our best Ritz experience, and we look forward to our next. The property is gorgeous, very clean, and we also enjoyed the restaurants, Salt and Coast.
The beach is beautiful and location is great but the quality of the Ritz seems to be waning. The first impression was the approach to the resort which was lined with cars from the valet service. Instead of a grand entrance we were met with traffic. I don't believe it was due to parking overflow as the lots by the convention halls were empty. The front desk staff were overworked and short with us. Not only upon check in but throughout our stay. The concierge were not knowledgeable in the area. In fact when I asked which direction a particular restaurant was in we were advised is was south of the hotel, near the Omni rather than the complete opposite end near the town. I'm thankful for google maps. The front end staff and concierge were a first for us, normally there are no issues. The property itself, well that has been a constant throughout our stays at the Ritz in the recent years. They need work! The pool areas needs painting, there are lights out in the pools, dirty windows throughout, conferences on the center lawn required us to listen to unwanted sounds rather than the ocean, Dirty and often ripped pool/beach towels, etc. In short, just not what one expects from the Ritz brand. Minus that (which was a lot) the pool and beach staff were top notch. We were club level (highly recommended) and the staff in the club lounge were the best, bar none. All in all it was a relaxing trip but not up to par for the Ritz brand.
Today is our last full day and we are so sad to be leaving this wonderful hotel and location tomorrow. Everything has been amazing. The hotel is incredibly family friendly. We almost cancelled our trip due to Covid concerns but ultimately decided to come and we are so glad we did! The hotel staff made us feel safe every step of the way. Everything was clean/pristine and we were able to social distance and do our own thing as a family. Covid has hit the service industry hard and supply chains are incredibly disrupted. If you are expecting every detail to be as it was before the pandemic you may need to adjust your expectations. That being said, we could not have been happier with the level of service and this wonderful hotel. We will be back!
The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island has always been one of our favorite hotels and we have stayed here many, many times. We have always been greeted with impeccable service and understated elegance in an unbeatable location. This visit however, was definitely different. Was it Covid? Short staffing, poor training? Poor supply chain? Likely all of the above. We did not expect the hotel to be trying to operate at full capacity under these conditions, but it was. The computers were down at check in, and the front desk person was confused and disorganized with paper check in. They couldn't tell which rooms were ready, and I don't think ours was fully prepared. With rising Covid numbers in Florida, of course we expected some glitches in service and staffing However, we felt confident in the Ritz Carlton standards of cleanliness in the setting of Covid. Very few staff and almost no guests were wearing masks. Upon arrival, it was clear no one had vacuumed the hallways for a very long time. Large "dust bunnies" were everywhere. Our room had trail mix and sequins scattered on the carpet and chairs. We called for cleaning and someone did a cursory vacuuming outside our door only. The mirrors nd bliw dryer were dirty. Our sink and toilet were not cleaned during our entire stay! We were told linens were short and were advised to conserve our used towels. Worst of all, when we were packing to leave and checking our room as to not leave anything behind, my husband found a pair of mens underwear, a shower cap and a bottle of shampoo on the closet shelf where I had gotten an extra blanket from a few days earlier! Disgusting. We saw housekeeping in the hallway. She never even looked up from her cellphone, even after we said good evening. The new decor is very pretty. But the rooms appear unfinished. They lack accessible light switches, towel bars and a step in the shower. Amenities were meager. We were supplied with drug store Neutrogena products in the shower, discount toilet tissue and an odd mix of other products. Pillows were like wet sandbags. The extra pillow did not even have a pillow case. The valets were great- polite, efficient, but again no masks/hand sanitizer in and out of our car. The First Drop coffee shop is a nice addition. Restaurant and beach staff were great. I had to get my own drinks at the pool. Grounds are beautifully kept. All in all, a very mixed experience. We still love the hotel and it's location. But improved hygiene standards are not only expected at this price point, but critical at this time for everyone's safety.
In early May, I stayed at this hotel and initially wrote a generally negative review. As I stated in my initial review, I thought the resort came up short in certain respects which I discuss herein. First, I arrived at 3:15 pm and my room was not ready. I know they say 4:00 but it is a rare occurrence when my room is not available as of that time. Second, the beach was beautiful but littered with dead jellyfish. When I brought this issue to the attention of the hotel, I was advised that the beach staff would be instructed to address the situation and that marketing would be told that they should put such information on the website. Third, valet is always a 15-30 minute ordeal, even though the cars are parked in garage near the entrance. Once again, Ritz management attempted to address this issue by having my car parked closer. While I cannot say it eliminated the problem, Ritz's attentiveness to my concern was comforting. Fourth, room service did not vacuum our room. We told the front desk and someone came up, apologized and offered to do it . Fifth, the pictures of the pool online make the pool appear much larger than it is. I also fell on slippery tile while getting into the pool that caused me to fracture my wrist. Ritz Carlton showed great concern about my injury, which I appreciated. On the positive side, the resort is very nice and service is accommodating. In sum, this Ritz is lacking in some areas but, upon notice of a problem, tries hard to satisfy their patrons.
