The country fried steak at Apollo Beach Diner is outstanding. We tried it both ways—regular and the skillet—and both versions were exactly what you want from a classic diner meal. The hash browns were seasoned well, crispy without being greasy, and the over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The sausage gravy was smooth, creamy, and had plenty of sausage. The steak itself is pre-made, but in a comforting, nostalgic way that absolutely hits the spot.

Portions were fair for the price, though I wouldn’t have minded a little more hash browns. Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt warm and familiar. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good, reasonably priced diner meal with great service.

Apollo Beach Diner ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the kind of breakfast spot you hope to find but rarely do anymore.
We ordered the country fried steak and eggs—and wow. A golden, crispy cutlet smothered in rich, peppery sausage gravy, with two perfectly fried eggs and hash browns that were actually crispy (not the sad, soggy kind). My wife had their breakfast special plate which was just as solid: fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, a warm buttermilk biscuit, and a generous bowl of cheese grits that were creamy and comforting.
This is real, no-frills diner food done right. Nothing fancy, just honest cooking and portions that'll keep you full until dinner. Pair it with a cup of hot coffee and you've got yourself a proper Southern breakfast.
If you're in the Apollo Beach area and craving classic American comfort food, don't overthink it—just go.
The kind of place where regulars know the staff by name.

I love this place. Small, friendly and the food is amazing. Not a lot of places can do a perfect over medium egg. Over easy and over hard are pretty easy. Over medium is tricky. My second time there and the second time they came out perfect. Waitstaff is THE BEST! They treat you like family here. Highly recommend. Prices are fabulous. Atmosphere was like being at grandma's. Comfy.

One of our favorite little spots. When we want a break from making our own homemade breakfast we go here. Everything is fresh and you feel like family. Every waitress we have had has been delightful! Highly recommend if you have not tried it.

Everything was delicious. Service was great highly recommend. The only thing it was on the expensive side, which I guess that’s pretty common now. lol

I always feel like I'm going to the cheers bar from the TV show. Always so welcoming the food is always on par and it's just a great local eat. Highly recommend

I thoroughly enjoy this breakfast spot. Nice size portions. The eggs are not small, like many other places. Service is always great. A great place to sit, relax with a cup of coffee, and enjoy a calm morning breakfast, without the hassle of navigating a fancy, hipster menu that other venues have.

Overpriced crowded I'll never eat there again
